Restaurant only review.
Pleasant enough atmosphere and some staff were lovely but food was just plain sad. It arrived quickly but seemed stale and somewhat reheated being tough and quite cold in spots, some very hot like being unevenly reheated. Quite tasteless too. Drinks were spot on and sweets selection good. Prices are understandable for the placement of the store but quality of food. Just plain saddening. Won't be trying it again.

The guys in the restaurant certainly went above and beyond this afternoon when we visited they made the most amazing cream scones, lovely tea too. They were clearly short staffed but juggling the cups well and keeping all their customers happy and served. Scott and Steve were ace and a real credit to the organisation, it was their busiest time at three when I arrived so they were dealing with a large queue and attempting to do everything but their pleasant, kind and in control demeanor got through. Thank you a lovely afternoon tea indeed x

I visited the store to pick up an online order for terracotta pots, and, was served by Val. There was an issue which she very easily rectified. I must say, Val is probably one of the happiest and warmest staff members that I have come across. She went the extra mile with a smile on her face.

Large safe car park. Dobbies Garden Centre is easy to get too and huge! It holds stock of pretty much everything I need both indoors and outdoors. Has a great loyalty scheme which gives you a good discount on plants and drinks from the big restaurant upstairs.

What a fiasco. Having shopped till we dropped, we decided, a nice cup of coffee. Big mistake. After a 20 minute wait in the queue, the server decided that we needed to swap over to the other till. Oh look another 20 minute wait. Decided that I would drive home and make my own . Rubbish service and incompetent staff.

Decent garden centre selling everything you should need for your garden and outdoor area. Christmas decorations were in demand when visited having just been out on display. Prices for items seem on the high side where a local diy store would be cheaper. Cafe very large and good food and drink served. Worth a visit.

Such a shame I used to enjoy coming here! I don’t know what’s happened but the cafe is absolutely chaos and awful customer service. Not a one off either this year as thought third time lucky but it was the worse yet. Waited in the queue for food for just over half an hour with ppl with buzzers coming up saying they had waited nearly an hour for just a sandwich. Young girl behind the counter spoke to her colleagues disgraceful, I’m surprised she was allowed to talk to people like this in front of customers. After another customer coming up saying they had ordered a bowl of chips 40 minutes ago and we hadn’t moved in the queue we decided to leave.
I understand when it’s busy it can get stressful but don’t expect bad attitude and not a care in the world from staff.

Visited here on 30/12/24 at 13.20, and went upto the on-site café. I don't know what time it opened, but none of the tables had been cleared, although the sign says to find a table before you order. My partner and I found a table but had to clear it before we sat down. She then went to order us a tuna baguette with chips and some drinks. The baguette was £8.50 ( chips were extra cost) but they had no chips, she said the staff made her feel like she was an inconvenience, not very helpful and slammed the drinks down on the counter. So 2 tuna baguettes, a mocha and a cappuccino came to just under £24. They gave her an electronic device, which was supposed to let us know when the food was ready, unfortunately it didn't work, so our food was bought over to us, but with no cutlery. I then went to get some cutlery( there was a bit of side salad) but no forks. Overall a very disappointing visit and if you're working in any form of hospitality or interacting with customers ( and yes we all have bad days) a smile and a bit of politeness goes a long way.
I would have to say, don't bother going here, there are far better places around.
