Pot of tea and sticky ginger cake for 2. £11.00. Delicious. Lovely jewellery and gifts for sale in the cafe too.

We bought a coffee and sausage rolls, I got a vegan one. When I was about to bite into it I looked down and white mould was all over it! Fluffy inside and out. Took it back to the tearoom and was met with blank faces, no apology. The rest of the plate was mouldy too! Asked for a refund but never saw the money come through or an apology! Served by two teenage girls who obviously needed some adult supervision. Shouldn't have been left to run a shop by themselves, a health and safety risk.

We went into the gift shop to buy some wax melts that the mrs loves. I only got the Carrot cake to take away.

The carrot cake was delicious and the young girl behind the counter was very helpful. Can’t wait to go back and try there other bits

Needed another staff member on when we went in. Seemed run off her feet. I had a vegan sausage roll, which was decent, but I had to ask for it to be reheated.

*Terrible service*
We went to Maison and Mollie after it reopened post flood. Given it was the first weekend of reopening the place felt so dirty and unloved. The cake tins were empty.
The one member of staff serving shouldn't have taken a job in hospitality. She appeared annoyed to be serving customers and even more so every time anyone asked for a different type of milk or anything extra. We asked to pay then and there to be told ''i think its best you wait'', without any further explanation. We waited 20 minutes for two coffees which were not the correct order when they arrived. The waitress slammed the down on the table. Whilst we were there she turned away so many other customers telling them there was a long wait when the place wasn't exactly overflowing. Such a shame to have a local lovely coffee shop run into the ground by a grumpy member of staff. Give the job to someone who wants it.

Was not too busy when we visited. Table had not been cleaned from previous serving. Took my daughter an age to get served even though she was the only customer at the counter. Ordered 3 drinks they were all served separately giving the impression they had forgot half the order. Cup of tea was good but you cannot go wrong with a teabag in a pot and hot water. Milkshake and Smoothie came in paper cups both tasted poor.
Overall very disappointed if you are going to charge high prices at least make an effort to provide efficient service, good quality ingredients and decent tableware.
Should have gone next door it couldn’t be any worse if it tried.

Nice little cafe. Staff seemed friendly. Just the menu was a shame - Please can you add more plant based alternatives as I'm allergic to dairy.

I loved this coffee shop. The coffee was excellent and I was able to order food that for with my food sensitivities. I had a jacket potato with tuna which was made to perfection. As a treat I ordered the gluten free orange cake, so yummy. I would recommend this cafe to everyone. No photo of the cafe but one of the village, Wivenhoe
