Now, this is a mixed review!
We have always enjoyed the food and experience from going to this Chip Shop.
However, at the weekend, the man serving me passed a comment that had me stunned!
I said “2 portion of large fish and chips please”, and he said, I quote “that’s a lot of food, you’re going to get fat”. I did say I don’t get opinions when shopping at another local chippy.
The lady who serves usually is so full of cheer, but his comment has stuck with me a few days later, hence now leaving this review.
Will it stop me going again? Probably not, as the food is yummy, but if I saw him serving, it would influence my decision.
A chip shop meal is a treat, and I don’t understand his need to pass comment on my order. Surely it’s money in their pocket?!

I can't believe these guys aren't selling their fish chips next to the sea! The fish is fresh and tastes excellent and the service is second to none. The lady who serves us is always extremely polite and welcoming, which for a fish and chip shop you wouldn't think you'd value, but it really does make a difference. Would love to see them introduce specials or fish of the week etc (perhaps they do and I'm on autopilot when I go there).

Anyway, best fish and chips in Witney if not, the whole of Oxfordshire.

This fish and chip shop is the most consistent fish and chip shop I have ever been to. Every time great fish and chips and consistent portion sizes. Very very good, can be slightly slow but always worth the wait.

Lovely small place, nice little seating area (small table and chair + a sofa). The staff are lovely and the food is great, not been disappointed with my orders, not once. The prices are quite reasonable in my opinion.

What a find! Have struggled to find a decent fish and chips shop in Witney when staying with my mother in law. We got a takeaway from the Harbour yesterday for the first time and were really impressed. Haddock was flaky and cooked fresh. Batter was light, crispy and dry with no greasiness at all and the chips were excellent. Really good portion sizes too. We will definitely come again and highly recommend it.

We love this chip shop, the food is tasty and fresh. The staff are absolutely lovely and so are the customers. Even when it's busy and there are people waiting everyone is just cheerfully waiting for their fresh and delicious dinner to be cooked. The menu is pretty big with plenty to choose from and it's well priced as well.

All I can say is I've never had a bad meal from here. The lady who answers the phone and deals with you over the counter is always polite, happy and cheerful. Parking is easy and you can ring through your order to save waiting.
I highly recommend this place.
