This medieval Clock Tower is situated in what as known as The Buttermarket it is a very old building the roof with the clock & sundial above is supported by 11 stone pillars it’s opposite the 15th century Town Hall....The Town like a lot in the area were Towns associated with the wool trade & blanket making since the 13th century with several mills taking there power from the River Windrush....It is a lovely little place to look around with plenty of shops cafes etc....Well worth a look around if you are in the area...👍

Wonderful old structure from 1606!
It’s well maintained yet obviously very original looking. A real jewel of the town. Amazing to see such old buildings still withstanding today.
