Really good food but the week night we picked was very rowdy with lots of men talking and swearing so loudly that we couldn't hear what our friends were saying. I'm not sure why the landlord didn't ask them to tone it down a bit. As I said the food was exceptionally good but unfortunately we wouldn't go there again as there was no ambience whatsoever.

Stopped for a roast dinner, I sat outside as I had my dog with me. Food was great, service at the bar was nothing spectacular, the food was brought to me by a boy in a tracksuit relatively quickly in two visits, I was confused until the meat arrived as i am not a vegetarian and presented well. The outside area is littered with cigarette butts and stinks of wet ashtrays. Otherwise the other reviews I’ve read sum the pub up quite honestly

Would not advise families to stay here! We arrived to a busy pub on Saturday, full of drinkers, not a very family friendly atmosphere. No lift had to carry bags and babies up to the rooms. Our room had just a double bed, which was meant to cater to me my partner and our two babies, we had no offer of a crib. We asked if there was a family room, as this is what we requested but this had been given to someone else. We wish we had been warned about the live music prior to arrival!!! Blasting until 12pm which was so loud that our room was shaking, there was no way to sleep through it. I don't get what part of the pub is suitable for families.

Good local pub on the crossroads in Bugle.
St Austell ? ales. Food was very good seeing that the chef was off ill. Small car park but plenty of street parking. Would have been 5stars but for the reduced menu. Worth stopping for.

We stayed here for 1 night when going to a gig at the Eden Project. It is a tradional pub with rooms. It was the ideal location with ample parking. Room was very comfy and quiet. Staff were very hospitable and the food (dinner and breakfast) was very good. Would stay here again!

Rooms are basic, shower not that powerful, toilet flusher didn't work all the time. Room window was on main road through Bugle and because it was a hot day / night we had to prop window open with a coat hanger, alot of traffic kept me awake. What made the stay was the breakfast, best I've had in a long time.

We had the Sunday carvery, which was excellent! It was really well cooked and presented, great value for money. I've eaten similar locally in the last few months and payed twice, the price for half as much. Definitely on our revisit list.

A run down community pub, probably at its prime 40 years ago ! Staff delightful but couldn't compensate for the general malaise, lack of investment and pro rata excessive pricing of wet sales.
