A nice addition to the renewed Cromford Mills site. This lovely shop has everything you need for a cracking evening in - beer, cheese and chutneys. Wallace and Gromit would love it! Staffed by super friendly and knowledgeable people, you will not leave this shop without buying something tasty.

SUCH! A cute little shop.

My friends and I had a great experience here. The staff were friendly and Joe especially was so lovely and helpful explaining to us the different cheeses and what they tasted like etc. He even wrote out a description of the cheeses I bought so I was able to explain them to my family when I take them home for Easter lunch.

One thing I love is samples! What I love even more is when they don’t restrict samples and they let you have as many tries as you like rather than being stingy and taking them away. They did not do this. In fact, they refilled the samples right in front of me. Usually, places will wait until I leave to refill the samples, I suppose I am a sample fiend. Though I would have liked to have been able to sample all the cheeses on offer, lucky I had Joe’s trusted advice so I am sure what he helped me pick out will be good.

I thought the chilli chocolate cheese was interesting, though nearly all my friends bought some I did abstain as I realised I am a bit of a cheese purist.

Also, BRILLIANT value! SO inexpensive!

Truly some great local options here which I loved, I can’t wait for my family to try them! I will report back when I have eaten them.

Oh what a place ! Excellent range of cheeses, chutneys, pies and all things you would need to accompany.

Bought a couple to try at home and they were delicious. Can recommend the fig and honey cheese for definite and will be back for others to sample when we are next in the area.

Friendly staff who clearly love what they sell, a great selection of local and English cheeses, crackers and meat pies. Jason was very helpful and enthusiastic, explaining each cheese I asked about in detail, offering samples and cutting small slices. It was one of the highlights of my visit to the area. The only thing that would make the shop better would be a few local ales to drink alongside the cheese!

All by itself this place justifies making a trip to Cromford Mill. Yes, the cheese selection is wonderful and extensive but so is the array of other tasty things (I'm particularly fond of the locally brewed beers). They even have a lovely little selection of gifts and accessories for the home. Topping it all off is the staff who are welcoming and knowledgeable, they've yet to give me a bad recommendation. I only wish the shop were closer to home so I could get very fat trying everything.

Wonderful selection of cheese (of course) but so many other tasty things that many visits wiĺl be needed. Excellent staff, too, reminds you of how shopping should be!

Lovely chatty man at the cheese shop that gave us a detailed explanation of lots of different local cheeses and his top 5! Very reasonable prices too!
