Pete's work is exceptional, his level of detail is something to be admired. You really can tell the quality difference between furniture which is mass produced and furniture which has been crafted with many years of skill. Yes you have to wait, this isn't something that can be knocked up in a week but rather months. He has an eye for detail that impresses and you are left with not just a piece of quality furniture, but quality furniture that will last a life time. Pete made our bedroom wardrobe with 3 sliding doors with a mid section for drawers and shoe drawers with space for a TV at the top. To each side there are two compartments for hanging clothes each section being lit up when you slide open the door. There is also down lighters and power sockets inside the wardrobe. Upon completion I asked Pete for some office storage with file hangers, this also was done made to measure with every conceivable detail. I would highly recommend Pete for all your carpentry needs.

He involved us throughout to make sure the storage met all our needs. There was also minimal disruption - with parts made in Pete's workshop and then fitted over a couple of days.

We had a very fiddly custom job - Peter made some oak mounts and re-purposed some original brass plates for period brass and Bakelite light switches that I wanted to fit in with our old property. It's hard to find someone with the patience to do a job like this! Delighted with result, Peter really took his time to understand and deliver exactly what was needed for a very reasonable price. All round excellent services from Peter. From design through to installation Peter helped and advised us. He explained and helped us select wood choices and finishes. He took our requirements and turned them into stylish and well built furniture. His craftsmanship is admirable as is his attention to detail and finish. All the details and any issues arising were discussed and worked through with us. We would definitely use Peter again and would highly recommend him. Ours was a challenging project, as we live in a small cottage with incredibly wonky walls and close spaces. Pete's cabinetmaking skills were superb and the finish lovely. Everything looked as we wanted it and performed as we needed it. Pete's approach was to use the space to its best advantage without starting from scratch where that would be unnecessary and costly. He made excellent suggestions, but also listened to and honoured our wishes. As well as designing and installing purpose-built cabinets, shelving and drawers, he also refitted our old (but good) television cabinet so that it could be wall mounted. People returning to the house after the work was done have all commented on how well it all fits in and how, if they hadn't seen what it was like before, they would have thought it was already like that. It all looks beautiful and, importantly, it works and we can now live comfortably and efficiently in our little home. Pete, you're a delight to have around and a wonderful craftsman. Pete was extremely professional. He came round to measure up on time and gave us honest estimates for when he would be able to do the work (as it happened, he was able to fit us in earlier). He even prepared some 3-D drawings which helped us to visualise what the finished kitchen would look like. Once he'd started making the cabinets (a couple of months before installation was due) he was able to give us a more accurate price for the work, and actually reduce his initial estimate a little. Communication was good throughout the making stage - we went round to his workshop to see the almost completed cabinets.

Pete was painstakingly perfectionist during the installation of the cabinets. There was never any feeling of the job being rushed. In fact, the 3rd-party quartz worktop installation was aligned inaccurately and Pete called the company back in the next day to correct the work, delaying him by a couple of days. During the installation he consulted with us a couple of times when decisions needed to be made and always did what we'd asked, rather than taking shortcuts.

Apart from the delay caused by the worktop, the schedule and pricing we were given were spot on. If we were going to have any more of this type of work done we would definitely get Pete to do it rather than a big chain of kitchen unit suppliers.
