A wonderful working orchard where you can buy apples, pears, quinces and medlars that smell and taste a milliion times better than anything shop bought.
They also sell pressed juices and seasonal vegetables too.
Apple season starts in late August with Discovery apples, with pick your own varieties from September.
Try a proper seasonal British grown apple and you won't be disappointed.

I've been going every year since 2009. We travel from Luton. The grandchildren come with us and love picking their own apples. Excellent variety of apples and some pears .. I absolutely love the Howgate Wonder apples. Great for cooking .no sugar needed, and they don't go mushy like some bramley apples do.. this is the only place I can get them ! Wrapped in newspaper and kept dry will store for months... Beautiful scenic location with good old-fashioned family service . Make sure you leave your address to get a reminder each year.. I love getting the postcard through the door...

Pick here every year ,so well laid out and easy to pick ,the most delicious apples in Essex ,it’s worth a trip out ,people are very friendly and helpful ,can’t wait to go and pick again .
