I have had the most amazing experience with Regina. As a local artist, but a print novice, I really didn't have a clue where to begin when it came to getting my work in print. From initial enquiry on Instagram, to our first encounter in the studio and our subsequent "day trip" to the printing house, Regina has taken care of everything and guided me in every way she knew how.

I first took a handful of my art to show her in the studio. Between us we settled on leaving behind 2 works of art for Regina to photograph and turn into a digital print. Regina kindly and knowingly produced 3 digital files in different pixels (i have no idea what I am talking about but the higher the number the bigger it can go!) And seamlessly sent them to me through we transfer.

Her service didn't stop there. We arranged another meet up in the studio to discuss prints. Greeted with tea and biscuits, Regina showed me the sample prints - different papers, with or without a border. Asking me to pick my favourite, Regina saw my panic and walked me through the next stage by creating artist proofs - "a selection" as she calls it.

Being a whiz on the computer she created various sized proofs in both A4 and A3 format with and without the white border. She then showed me what each piece would look like in a mount, or a frame, sharing her knowledge of the print process and concept of signing your prints, authentication and numbering. All of which I was completely clueless about but now feel confident moving forward. What is even more special is you do not have to order mass quantities of prints as Regina will happily print to whatever size and quantity you need.

We even went BIG - printing one of my pieces as big as it could go, leaving it with Regina to mount and personally deliver at a later date. The scale and detail of the large piece shows off her skill as a photographer, it looks just like I have painted it on canvas (see the close up below)

Regina went out of her way to put me at ease and show me the ropes, and after spending all day with her in the studio it soon felt like "home". Her warmth, knowledge and experience is infectious, and I have already begun recommending her to my artist friends.

Next time I'll just remember my sandwiches 😉
