We got brought a fish tank for christmas and were complete novices to looking after fish! We instantly headed to Jo and asked all the questions possible and got very in-depth and knowledgeable answers. We are still going to Jo weekly to get our water tested and adding new fish and she is incredibly helpful and always so friendly! 😁 Even when we had a little blip with our chemicals she was helping us every step of the way and would be able to tell us what to change each week, and here we are adding more fish again! Couldn’t recommend more and so much better that it’s a local business! Thank you so much ☺️

Great selection of products for fish, reptiles and mammals.
Popped in yesterday with my dog and he was warmly welcomed with a biscuit 🙂
Came out with dog treats, Arcadia T5 and coco coir.

The owner offers holiday boarding for reptiles and is a big advocate of rehoming, which is a rare and wonderful quality in a pet shop establishment.

Important to support local independents and keep this great shop in our community 🐢

I recently visited this shop and was quite disappointed with my experience.

The staff seemed less friendly and helpful compared to previous visits. Inquiries were met with curt responses, and there was a noticeable lack of enthusiasm to assist customers.

The most concerning aspect was the significant price increase of many items and services. Some services have seen a 4-fold increase in price. This drastic change makes it extremely difficult to justify shopping at this shop anymore.

I understand that businesses need to adjust prices to account for inflation and other factors. However, a 4-fold increase is excessive and feels exploitative, especially when considering the decline in customer service.

Jo is so helpful and has helped me set up and manage a tropical fish tank both at home, and in my classroom. As I am a complete beginner, her knowledge is invaluable and she is always happy to answer my never ending questions! The fish, plants and other paraphernalia we buy are always top quality.
