17th century cottages are 'exciting' when it comes to fitting a new woodburner! Using a fireplace and chimney where the ancient builder knew exactly what to do 300 years ago but totally did not comply with 2024 building regs brings challenges. When I needed a flue , Dean Forge solved the proximity-of-the-oak-beam problem with a double skinned section. By the time I decided to get a new woodburner, hearth regs had changed. By the time I had built a new hearth, beam height regs were changing. So my exciting project took two years to work through. All that time Dean Forge were incredibly supportive and patient. At the end, when I needed a stove from a different supplier due to my dimension challenge, they ( especially Sian Goss in installations) were nevertheless very supportive and efficient. The guys who came to install clearly knew exactly what they were doing and were obsessional tidy. They were really friendly and kindly put up with me being in their way all morning watching them work. Thank you everyone for great customer service and professionalism.

Went to the Orchard cafe at Dean forge for breakfast,The service and the food were excellent , my wife had the vegetarian option and I had the orchard breakfast, both meals arrived in a reasonable time we ordered coffee at the same time and they were very good, There is a good selection of cakes , The breakfast menu changes late morning to a lunch menu, So we'll be back another day to try
It out. I was pleased that it's Dog friendly. The only negative is that it's up stairs which makes it
Difficult for anyone with mobility issues, the stairs are nice and wide and accessed through the shop. I have already recommended it to several people.

I actually visited the workshop, rather than the shop itself. I needed advice on a garden issue and required metal angles of a specific length. Dean Forge were happy to help and organised for me. Perfect.

I had read many reviews and had a lot of quotes before I went ahead with Dean Forge for my installation of an inset wood burner. The quality of the staff in the show room initially supported my decision to go ahead and despite what some people have found, Dean Forge was the most reasonable of all the quotes.
There were a few hiccups with ordering and installation but nothing that wasn’t sorted out quickly and reassuringly.
The difference in some companies and Dean Forge is that there is that element of old-fashioned customer support which I really liked. Chris came out to see my place for a quotation I really liked his friendly , knowledgeable assessment ( and he liked dogs )

Very polite and helpful, good quality product. You evidently get what you pay for. Chap providing the quote seemed determined to put me off (outside flues are not the best may need pre-heating and regular sweeping). However I trust honest people, so they got my custom. Installers left to own devices and just got on with the job. Only criticism was that they didn’t ask where to site the carbon monoxide detector, I would have chosen somewhere a little less visible. Overall great job and stove with heat shield, means it can be closer to the wall so I can still see the TV from my favourite position, (next to a hot stove).

We visited the showroom twice and asked lots of questions before choosing our stove. We timed it just right to coincide with the hottest ever summer weather but at least we are ready for the autumn. Everyone we talked to at Dean Forge was pleasant and very helpful, the fitters installed the stove and external flue in a quick and professional way and cleared up leaving us with comprehensive notes and guidance. Thank you to all at Dean Forge.

We had a woodburner fitted by dean forge last year.
It seems that we have a down draft issues and we had no help whatsoever to sort out the problem. The only reply after contacting Dean forge about it was a query if I had clean the chimney.
I am writing this review at 2.30am after the co2 alarm blast through the night. I feel left on my own without any support or solution to my problem and I have no idea what I am suppose to do to resolve the problem which seem to happen every three to four weeks and stronger wind coming from one direction.
I feel helpless and now will have to stop using our woodburner until I bring a professional to have a look at it. So so so annoyed right now.
