Argos not send refund to me ! It’s almost 9 months !!!!!!!!!

I purchased an item from Argos on July 21, 2024, and returned it a few days later. Now, 7-8 months later, I’m still waiting for my refund!

Despite reaching out to customer service multiple times, they keep telling me to wait for the finance team to respond, but I have received no updates. When I followed up, they suggested I return to the store for assistance.

I went back to the store immediately, hoping to receive my refund directly, but the manager asked me to wait for them to check and promised to reply via email. This is incredibly frustrating, as I have not received any email or call regarding my refund!

When I called customer service again, they suggested that I go back to the store again,I was shocked!

They also requested my return receipt. I explained that I had already followed up after returning the item, and they told me to wait for confirmation and a refund. Now, nine months later, I still haven’t received anything, and I’ve unfortunately lost my receipt.

How am I supposed to provide return receipt information after all this time? This experience has been nothing short of ridiculous.

I would not recommend Argos based on my experience.

I ordered my product and payed in store, then I waited where it says to collect from. Waited patiently because both girls were already serving a customer. Once one girl finished she served 2 other customers that had walked in after me before even looking at my order, she could see me stood waiting with my ticket. Not impressed

Useless customer service. Manager extremely entitled and did not have an ounce of helpfulness within him. My machine was faulty but refused to listen and would not help. Said unlucky that’s the way it is. Very sad and other staff just looked away

Useless customer service, I bought 2 travel luggage from this store very expensive for lightweight bag. 1 trip, the fabric split, with 23 kg weight for big bag. I wanted to return one of them. The customer service assumed this is accidental damage, No accident happened, other than normal use. They refused to accept the return, and didn't listen to my explanation. I would never buy from Argos again

āŒļøstay clear of argos Sainsbury's warringtonāŒļøWouldn't even rate this 1 star, buys a baby gate, realises it's too big and takes it back only to be told I can't have a refund as the cable ties have been cut off, she packs the baby gate away and gives it me back followed by "take your recipe just incase" just incase what my love you refused me a refund with my recipe. Bearing in mind this is the same woman many people have given a bad review about. Gets home to find out she's only put two of the screws in the box leaving me minus 2 screws so the baby gate is absolutely useless to me now. Absolutely disgusting I'm actually fuming with this place and the staff in there!!

The main reason for this review is I know there’s a high likelihood of the woman on the till seeing this and I wanted to say- I would expect a few bumps in the road from Argos as a company when it comes to claiming on warranty. But today I jumped through every hoop and even after explaining I’m in urgent need of a baby monitor or the money to buy another one, you still refused to help me when you could. You made a working class family’s life that little bit harder while acting on behalf of a billion pound company.

Today I tried to return a baby monitor which was faulty. I was told I am unable to return the item unless I have contacted the supplier of the camera first and they had assisted me with the claim on my warranty.

I left the shop and returned 10 minuets later after I found out my partner had already contacted the supplier and was told they ā€˜couldn’t assist us, and we had to go in store to receive a replacement or refund’ I took email proof of this correspondence and shown the staff member. She replied with ā€œokay but when you brought the camera in before you only had proof of item delivery, I also need the other email with the cameras product codeā€ to which I presented.
I was then told ā€œI still can’t give you a refund because the other email you shown me from the supplier didn’t have a reference numberā€
I got the email back up and shown her the reference number she then wrote it down and walked away, then to return and said ā€œI can’t give you the refund because I tried to call the company to double check this reference number and they’re out of hours so you’ll have to come back another dayā€

If I buy something and it’s faulty, I should be entitled to a refund within the warranty period that Argos allows

Shocking customer service from the lady with shoulder length brown hair on 13th February. Snatching my orders and shouting at me in the middle of the shop. After this experience I’ll spend my money elsewhere. Argos I’d suggest hiring some new staff or teaching your existing staff customer service skills.
