Quite, away from the main road place. Lovely beer garden. Delicious food. Portions are generous. The prices are lower compared to other places in the area, but the quality is definitely not worse (and probably better). Lovely and very helpful stuff. We weren’t sure what to drink, so they let us try a couple of different beers and ciders to help us decide. Definitely would come again.

Went here twice while on holiday here and the food was delicious and plenty of it! Would definitely recommend the ploughman's, great for a lunch to share as the portions are very generous ( not complaining). The staff was very friendly too, overall a lovely place to visit.

Great pub! We had a meal and a pint here after a long rainy hike and it was amazing! The steak and ale pie was delicious and the pub is beautiful with it's quirky decoration.

The oldest pub in bowness It was built in 1612 and still has its original features. Lovely and cosy big log fire. I didn't have food, but it gets busy, so the food must be good

Cozy, warm and friendly pub. Located just off the Main Street it has plenty of tables available indoor and a large patio outdoor. Food is traditional English food. We opted for the classic jacked potato with tuna. Huge, piping hot and delicious. Service is quick. Lovely atmosphere. I’d definitely come back.
