We had the most wonderful lunch here on a cold January day. The perfect spot to watch the world (and boats go by). Both ladies working were so friendly and accommodating to our two children and dog. Food was homemade and delicious. Especially the mushroom soup. We will definitely be back.

Great little place. Just what you need where you need it. While I was there yesterday an entire family took advantage taking their own food in and proceeding to eat - and make a mess - even when asked to put their food away! Dealt with assertively without fuss from the proprietor. Couldn’t believe the cheek of it and how utterly rude some people are to do such a thing! But peace was soon restored.
No need to do this as there is good food at good prices. And if all you want is a cup of tea- that’s fine too. Gem of a place. Favourite cafe in Bowness.

Reasonable prices, not the poshest joint in town but really does what you need. Full belly, well rested and ready to go. Fish chips, peas, bread and a pot of tea. £11.50

Coffee and a scone up the road £12

So this is spot on.

Blink and you will miss it, a little white door where you book on the boat trips.

Went to the take away window. The absolute worst hotdog I have ever tasted, just a tourist trap.

Waited a while as staff were talking ignoring folks outside. It looked clean enough inside the cooking area. But the food was terrible, and very overpriced for the cheapest of cheap ingredients. The hotdog was the cheapest of cheap kind, full of tiny bone, it tasted vile. The ketchup looked like it was watered down, the onions were even terrible.

I didn't know you could mess a hotdog up so much, but these lot obviously can.

The coffe shop is a lovely family run business.
Calm and relaxed atmosphere with cooked to perfection hot meals and drinks. Fish and chips is cooked in a separate batch of oil to meet halal regulations. Amazing couple providing 5* service . #must go #must try...

Nice little cafe with unrivalled views of Windermere and the boats as they arrive and depart. Good food and drink option and not too expensive. Friendly staff and handy toilets (ask for the key). Worth a visit for the views and great ice cream!

Ice-creams were good but not a huge variety of flavours. Very traditional service by a lovely man. Loved the customer service but the ice-creams could have been better but I still enjoyed it though.

I'm pretty sure this building's original business was called Lewis's Coffee Shop, so it has some good history.

Toilets were good but needed a key to enter for security reasons so people don't damage it.

Happy to come here again to have good food and more importantly feel welcomed in a lovely small business with an even more lovely owner.
