Me and my partner happened to pass by and popped in for breakfast. We were told there may be a long wait as everything is cooked fresh which we were happy with but it really didn’t take long for the food which was fab! I had a chai latte and an English breakfast and it was lovely. The staff were very friendly and welcoming 🙂

Not family friendly.... Unfriendly policy on the door stating that pushchairs/prams must be left in a private alley which gives you the impression you can't bring a pram inside with a sleeping baby in the pram. I wasn't going to be waking my baby up to carry her inside and leave my pram in an alley way private or not... unsure on why this is the policy... if it's due to heavy foot traffic then I could understand. However.... there was 2 tables being used with one person on each table. We went to Costa down the road instead much more family friendly. And by the looks of other reviews better priced.

Situated in in a very busy tourist town in the Lake District with a good rustic atmosphere inside. Feels like a family owned and run business. Very friendly staff and a very tasty lunch of chilli on wedges. This one is a worth a visit and the prices are very reasonable.

Montie's cafe is such a lovely restaurant with loads of sandwiches, wraps, cakes, coffee/ tea to choose from. The restaurant is situated in the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere.

✔️ Great, tasty food. Decent portion sizes too. Well worth the money

✔️ Superb view, overlooking the city

✔️ Friendly and polite staff

✔️ An amazingly creative decorations.

We would definitely visit here when we visit Lake District / Windermere next time. Thank you.

A beautiful cafe and very welcoming. They were able to accommodate us as a large group on walk in (including our dog who needed a well earned rest 🤣). The food and drinks were lovely and nothing seemed an issue. Would highly recommend!

Lovely little find, we had a cream tea here on a very soggy day and it was one of the best cream teas I've had outside of Cornwall 😁 it's a lovely quirky place, great decor and the staff were so lovely and welcoming, definitely worth a visit and will be going back when in the area again ✨
