Had chops as was only stopping for a snack. Loads of choice fish, pies and sausages all looked amazing. Outside seating was nice. Sold ice cream as well. 5 stars on food hygiene as well.

Gift shop right by the lake with a good selection of souvenirs. I'm a fridge magnet man myself and I'm quite fussy about them. I found one that I liked, so it's an automatic five stars from me. Wasn't too expensive either for what I bought. A lot of these other reviews about food are mistaking it for the restaurant of the same name a few doors down.

Stop by this place before going to Edinburgh
Trying to fish and chips and sausage they were delicious
We also had ice cream afterward it was so good. If you pass by this place you should come try fish n chips, sausage roll , pie and ice cream

Excellent social distancing, every member of staff was wearing PPE and they had a great system. The baked fish and chips were amazing! So nice to have a takeway without feeling the grease afterwards. The end of a perfect day. Great local beer too!

One of the best fish & chips I had in a long time. Very good priced matching quality. Both fish & chips were fresh and tasted nice. Served with mushy peas and tartare sauce. Will definitely come back

Fairly quick service, decent portion size, the fish was really good quality and the chips were cooked to perfection. Comes in a box with mushy peas, tartar sauce and lemon wedge. Quite pricey, but for the quality and location it's to be expected. Recommended.

Small portions. Soggy batter, Luke warm chips and bad customer service. My order was £13 for a kids fish and chips and a regular fish and chips. My sisters order was £12.60 for 4 regular chips and a pot of gravy. So not the cheapest either.
Hoped to order a battered sausage, but they don’t do these- only plain. Ordered fish and chips instead. Specifically asked about size of fish because I was after large and was told it was a decent size bit of fish.
The fish was small and wafer thin, and the batter left a lot to be desired! - soggy and seemed like it had been done hours ago (was only 6.30pm) chips were Luke warm.
I watched them as they realised that gravy had spilled everywhere inside the bag and they just removed the boxes covered in gravy and put them in a clean bag. I asked for them to be in new boxes because I didn’t want to put gravy covered boxes on the table and was just handed an empty box.
