We had the wonderful afternoon tea to celebrate my birthday. Just wonderful!|The sandwiches were served with some warm snacks including a tiny piece of ham hock and Morecambe Bay potted shrimps served on a mini crumpet. It was an unusually warm day so the bread on the sandwiches became very slightly dry.. there was a nice break before we had the cakes but before that we had delicious freshly baked scone with jam and cream.|Beautifully served.

The hotel is beautiful. The view is fantastic and the majority of the staff are polite and welcoming. On our visit some things fell short of the price point. There were a few requests that were forgotten. They seemed a few members of staff short, which is costing them breaches of five star standard.|I’m giving our visit three stars because the food was not great. We had dinner on the first night, and again, for the price point well under our expectations. I’ve eaten a lot better in the Lakes for half the price. Breakfast - they cannot even poach an egg!|All said, will I go back? Yes, but we will not eat in the hotel.

We called in to your hotel today. We were hoping to see what it was like before we decided to book for a holiday later on this year. What an amazing location.
Unfortunately we were horrified by the appalling service from your front of house staff.
I arrived with my family of 6, one of my daughters is 37weeks pregnant and my husband is currently recovering from leg surgery. Anyone with any service experience would have looked after us and would have been kind.
The two older ladies front of house ,at best looked down their noses at us, and at worse ignored us.
We waited awkwardly in the entrance of your hotel to be seated for what seemed like an age before a younger waitress showed us to a table for 4 not 6. She was bored and rude. We left.
We were expecting to have a lovely time Sharing precious memories with fizz and laughter. We in fact felt like second class citizens who were not wanted in your establishment.
If you do not want guests from outside the hotel to call, please make this clear from signs outside your establishment. As an owner of a family business, I am astounded you would allow badly trained staff to turn good money away.

We stayed at Langdale Chase for our 10th wedding anniversary and it was fantastic. From booking to departure all the staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. We booked a Windermere Feature room as we had our dogs with us. The room was big, comfortable and really well equipped with fully stocked mini bar and coffee machine as well as a seperate sitting area. Great view from our room too and easy access to the garden. We loved the help yourself snacks located by the ice machine! A very nice bonus! We had dinner in the restaurant on our first night and we enjoyed good food. This is hotel is premium priced but you certainly get what you pay for which is a 5* experience. We loved our stay here and will most definitely be back again.

This hotel attracts us back time and time again, lost count of the number but been visiting with various dogs since 1987. The Staff are simply the best, friendly and forever making a fuss of four legged friends as well as looking after us to the highest standard. I would advise any visitors to aways remember to book your dogs in when seeking accomodation, a must for all high end hotels not just this one. The rooms are tastefully decorated and I've lost count of the number of times that I've overheard visitors describing the view outside as comparable to Lake Como. You need the sun however and fortunately we got that in abundance this time,not bad at all for March!

We visited Langdale Chase for a late lunch whilst on our mini honeymoon to the Lake District. Being able to take our dog we sat outside on the terrace enjoying the beautiful views. We ordered the burgers which were delightful and our dog ordered from the dog menu (which we thought was fantastic!)
The service was amazing as was the quality of all our food and drinks. We would love to visit again and do recommend if you are in the area.

Stay here. It is worth every penny. The hotel staff know how to look after guests. The room was perfect. The location is amazing. It is a beautiful, relaxing place to spend time both in the hotel and in the grounds. The food is great with good, creative vegetarian options.

My all time favourite hotel! (It used to be Gravetye Manor in Sussex)|The weather did help. It was gloriously sunny and therefore the scenery was stunning. But we had a fantastic room (room 12) The food and service was very good. We shall definitely be back.
