We really enjoyed our stay here. We had an issue with a smell in our original room but Mo (I think) on front desk sorted it really quickly and gave us two free cocktails too to make up for it. The bar staff were lovely too - professional, friendly yet not pretentious. We also went to the Spa in the morning (I would recommend going when it first opens as it was much less busy) and loved it. Beautiful scenery and lovely pools and saunas. The staff were really lovely and helpful here too.

Possibly our favourite hotel. The service is absolutely A1 - how they train the team to be consistently friendly and helpful is beyond me. Food was excellent throughout - amazing tapas on the first night, superb breakfasts all weekend. Amazing lunch and gala dinner (the lamb was excellent). The spa is of course amazing - very relaxing to sit in there having done kayaking in the morning. And mini moons brought to you as you relax (and drinks offered - so you can have a beer in the hot tub !!!!! - declined this time). Just a beautiful soul to this place, and amazing views across Windermere. Highly recommend.

Spa day was amazing. Looked after from start to finish. 3 hours in the spa. Superb warm infinity pools with jets and hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms. Also chill out spaces where you can have chocolate brownies. Serve cocktails too. Then we had 2 course lunch which was lovely and great wines. Massage was very good. So relaxing. Many staff to cater for all your needs. So friendly. Will come back here again and again. So impressed.

We came here for a birthday surprise for my wife after doing loads of research into all the spas in the area, this seemed to come up trumps, it didn’t disappoint. We got a great package where we had 3 hours in the spa, a 55 minute massage and a 2 course dinner in the restaurant. The only downside is it’s difficult to fit all 3 in without a bit of crossover, they were very accommodating and gave us a bit of extra time in the Spa to make up for it.

So we arrived as early as we could had our orientation and then started enjoying the spa, which was amazing, lots of friendly helpful staff, loads of different types of steam rooms and saunas, indoor pools, outdoor pools, hot tubs a bar and a chill out room with brownies!! Really good brownies…

Then an hour later we had our massage which was amazing, the staff doing them really knew what they were doing.

We then went and got a couple of frozen pornstar martinis from the outside bar and sat in the really warm pool in the rain. Yes it was even a great experience in the rain.

We then enjoyed a few of the steam rooms and saunas and then it was time for lunch.

Lunch was ok, it wasn’t the best but for the price we paid for all 3 it worked out nicely. I would probably give the food a 4 star, but the staff in the restaurant were lovely and friendly.

For a spa experience I don’t believe there is a better in the area, but then I haven’t tried any of the others.

One of my favourite spas! The staff are always lovely and welcoming. The views are incredible and there is a great selection of different saunas ect.
I’ve had a facial twice by Rhianna and she is amazing.
The small touches like the brownie room, fruit water and free face masks are what make this spa better than others I’ve been too.
I can’t wait to come back. 🥰

We stayed in the Warlander section for the first time. This was a much nicer part of the the hotel with the benefit of a bit more exclusivity. Our only disappointment was the collection of dust behind the room door and we had to remind them to service our room on the one day which was done but not to the usual standard. Other than that excellent and it won't put us off from staying again.

All I can say is WOW, book this spa immediately. Me and my partner have been to a few spas in the north east and north west, many far exceeding what we paid to go to low wood, and this by far blew them all out of the water. The amenities are second to none, it is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of the Lake District overlooking Windermere. The attention to detail of this whole resort is over and above any other spa I have ever been to. We did the thermal journey and it was so relaxing, luxurious and the staff were excellent and accommodating, professional and truly go above and beyond. The outdoor bar is a fantastic addition. We will be back and we will be recommending Low Wood to friends, family and colleagues alike. Already convinced friends to come here! Thank you so much.

Where to start - this place is incredible! It’s not often to come across somewhere that exceeds expectations in every way.
We spent a couple of nights here and can’t wait to come back!
The staff - every single staff member we came across was so friendly, polite & helpful, the lovely man at the car park barrier to the spa ladies!
The small touches - we came with our dog, & was provided with a bed, blanket, snacks and a bowl! We had a do not disturb sign one morning & the cleaners left a bag of fresh towels & coffee for us (without us even asking!) outside our door
The spa - incredible! I’ve seen many complaints about not being able to use all the facilities when booking a room, but it was super clear on booking that this would be extra. The timings we could use the indoor facilities worked perfectly well. The full thermal journey itself was amazing, again small touches like coming round with hot chocolate and tiffin, hot towels etc was lovely.
The food - we ate at the W hotel which was outstanding. Breakfast was also great and again, small touches like setting us a table in the lounge so our dog could join us was fantastic and appreciated.

I could go on and on but in short - 10/10. The management should be extremely proud & happy at such a seamless service & venue.
