First class experience. Ordered an item, it arrived the very next day. And they were the only ones that had the black Rab jacket in stock in my sons size. And free delivery. Perfect!

The best serious outdoor kit shop I have found. I'm sure being centrally located in the beautiful Lake District helps but the staff are consistently friendly, helpful and, most importantly, knowledgeable. They don't just try to sell you what they have, they take time and trouble to discuss what's the best solution for you. My son was over from his home in Canada and he must have tried on every boot on the shop before, with the help of a great measuring service and experienced advice, he settled on a high-end pair that are still doing great service in the wilds of British Columbia. Great over the phone advice and online service, too.

Me and my partner got fitted new inner soles, thanks Sophie who was really professional and knowledgeable about footwear and improving the way we walk with the new inner soles.
We learnt so much when getting fitted, there was no rush and no pushy sales pitch. Cannot recommend visiting "The Epicentre" enough and seeing Sophie who clearly knows her stuff.. Thanks.

As well as being Ambleside’s best outdoor boutique they’ve got this superb gait analysis service and sell corrective gel insoles measured to your needs. I was helped by Sophie who has clearly invested a lot of her time in learning all the skills required for gait analysis and had great training; she’s brilliant.

If you need some new shoes, go and see Sophie! Extremely knowledgeable and patient. Now realised the footwear I normally go for might be causing other issues and ntced the difference with some proper insoles immediately.

Fantastic service from both members of staff in today 23/11/24. A warm, friendly greeting followed by some great advice and recommendations for walking boots. Unfortunately there were no suitable options in stock but I came away understanding exactly what I needed to try and buy next time round.
