We had a brilliant time at the Easter wine tasting led by Kelli. We tried lots of new and interesting wines and learned a lot (and even remembered some!). I would heartily recommend anyone attend an event here; I have coeliac disease (gluten free) and they were even able to provide a GF charcuterie board for me. 5 stars because I can't give more!

Our favourite wine shop! We are so lucky to have this on our doorstep. A friendly team who are passionate about wine. We have learnt so much about wine over the last few years at their wine tasting events, summer fair and recommendations when popping in.
They can cater to every budget as well, it's not all top shelf. Much rather support these guys than buy off the supermarket. They even helped us source wine we had tried on holiday.

Excellent experience. Super nice and helpful. Really great wines at good prices. Tracked down a lovely Portuguese red we had at a pub in London, and stocked up for Christmas. Super fast DPD delivery to Essex and extremely well packed. Will definitely use again. Highly recommended.

Feel very lucky to have The Wine Shop so close! A fantastic local shop, incredibly kind and friendly service, the team never assume knowledge and are always on hand to help, make suggestions and have a chat. Saturday tasting bench is a great idea - gets the weekend off to a good start!
Recently attended one of their events held at Railway Inn, which we loved. Took the in-laws, who thoroughly enjoyed. Incredibly informative, really special speakers and great value in terms of food + drink. Came home merry and a few quid lighter having invested in the sherry! Tip top!

What a gem of a shop!
Kelli and Matthew stock a huge range of wines with a price range that encompasses all comers. Kelli has a phenomenal memory for what wines we like and helps us explore new tastes.
Get yourself down there to find a quaffable bottle for an evening at home or something special for an occasion or for one of the artfull-curated and fun Friday night tastings.

Attended the shop's two recent History of Wine evenings. Really informative and learned much about how many of the world's wine countries and regions developed and came to prominence. All supplemented with lovely tastings of the relevant wines of the region. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and wines are second to none.

I'm a wine enthusiast and really impressed with the Wine Shop in Winscombe as a creative and successful independent outlet. They have a great range of wines (very different from supermarket ranges), friendly and knowledgeable owners/staff, and I particularly love their frequent wine tasting events. But you need to be quick to get a place!

Attended ‘A History of Wine’ event, over two evenings, including tasting a total of 12 wines with accompanying nibbles. Really informative sessions, in relatively small group, with some great wines. The staff are brilliant, very knowledgeable and welcoming, happy to answer questions. I’ve attended several events before and shall be back for more! Can’t recommend them highly enough.
