Painful. slow service from uninterested staff, when I asked for vinegar, the waitress/ bar maid grunted and pretty much threw it at me across the table. The food was below average for me (gammon) as it was over cooked, the burger was pretty good. Guinness was not bad. But for the price the experience was border line for the overall quality. Clearly understaffed and I would not return for food.

Popped in for a swift one while awaiting a large order at the Crystal palace takeaway (Also Excellent!) Warm friendly atmosphere with a
good selection of Beers - Menu looked good too. Would like to have stayed longer. (Maybe next time)

Great experience at the black swan today for Sunday lunch. Emily and Asa was both so polite and helpful in every way possible. Especially with partner being vegan they did their best to cater for her. So polite and the food was spot on. Will definitely return. Thanks again!

We’ve just had Sunday lunch here last Sunday. Best Sunday dinner we’ve had in ages. Friendly, helpful staff, a welcoming atmosphere and the food was fantastic. We asked for a small adjustment to our meal which they were happy to carry out. I only wished we lived closer for a swift return visit.

Not been here in last 6 months. We use to love this place.
Walked in 4 people in the pub, stood at the bar for 3-4 minutes before anyone came out to serve.
No Sunday lunch anymore and very limited menu. We both ordered Hunters chicken. Chicken came in a tin dish (been microwaved) bacon went in the bin all fat and under cooked, cheese was cremated to the tin, chicken was OK.
Chips were over cooked and greasy salad was average.
We both left most of it.
Wife had iced water which came in a childs glass.

We will not be going back anymore cannot believe how the food, menu and atmosphere has changed in a short time.

So glad they have a new chef and food is back on. Missed eating here.
Waitress was lovely and really pleasant. Have a 9month old baby and she went above and beyond to intract with her and pick her toy up ?
Had garlic mushrooms for a starter, was lovely and hot.
Had pie for a maim, was amazing, others had a roast and they really enjoyed it.
Will definitely be back again.

Two good evening meals there this week, kind and considerate staff, made me feel very welcome.
The swan on the pastry was a nice finishing touch to a yummy pie. Some veg with the delicious sausages would have been good, but I didn't say anything and huge portion of potato!
