What a total gem. We are visiting family for the week and came to Minehead Eye for the first time with our two children for the Nerf Fun session. Our eldest has additional needs and is usually against trying new things so I was nervous when he said he wanted a go. I spoke with the team- Simon and Izzy before the session and they were so accommodating and understanding. They made time to answer all his questions and made sure I could stay for the session to support my son if needed. They were so supportive to my son throughout the session and so knowledgable of autism and potential issues we may come up against with the rules etc. They helped him find the right gun, he has dyspraxia so many guns are hard for him to use, Simon checked in with us both throughout and my son was able to join in and loved every minute of the session. My son finds things like this so hard to access normally so this was such a wonderful moment for him and for our family. Where we live we don’t have such a centre, only leisure centres where most staff have no knowledge of SEN or how to support or connect with kids like my son. I can’t stress enough what a great service this is. I hope minehead knows how lucky it is! A truly inclusive youth activity centre is a rare thing indeed. Thanks so much, we’ll be back next time we’re in town!

Our family love the Minehead Eye! The staff are friendly and encouraging. Good for all ages. Albert is a great, patient skate instructor 🙂 lovely to have the cafe above to be able to watch down on the skatepark

Love Minehead eye! Such an incredible facility lovely cool cafe was a welcome break from the heat & the whole place was clean and well kept. Skatepark itself is well thought out with a nice range of ramp sizes and obstacles. The staff were all so helpful and the cafe and shop was very reasonably priced. We had a great time and can’t wait to return!

Visited Minehead Eye for the first time for an adults only roller disco. Was great fun, and really well executed. Lots of staff on hand, so no wait times and lots of support available if required. Staff proactively approached us to help with balance aids etc., which was really appreciated. We discussed in the car home how it was the first time in a while we had visited a venue/establishment and all of the members of staff looked genuinely happy to be there, which was so refreshing and nice. Will definitely visit again, thank you!

Went for the roller disco for my daughter's birthday and it was brilliant. The staff really made it a fantastic experience. They were all lovely and really encouraging especially to the members of our party that weren't quite as proficient at skating. We've got all the details of other activities and hope to be back soon.
