Very lucky to have this in our local village. Staff- John and Rachel first rate and cook to order- Plaice and Chips one night earlier this week was, as always superb- friend spoke similarly of his Nuggets. Ideally placed as a local so it is always my last port of call and it all gets on the plate hot. I shall be back- regularly

I ordered a plaice and chips. Chips were good but the fish was horrible. The server pouring the oil out of it before wrapping wasnt a good sign to start with. Batter was soggy becuase of so much oil. The paper was soaked in oil and the fish was stale. Plaice is a sweet fish i put most of this in the bin.
It's been a few years since i have been here and i won't bother again.

Best fish and chips I have ever had. I have been getting food here for 15 years, and it never disappoints. The cheesy chips are insane. The battered cod is so fresh and the battered sausages are also nice. Also very reasonably priced, and I cannot wait to try whole menu.

Food was good, staff were friendly. But being just up the road from the hospital it's jarring to see copies of the NHS-bashing, anti-vax, conspiracy rag 'The Light' available. I'm not sure if the owners are aware, but that stuff turns my stomach.

First and foremost, staff were lovely, helpful and pleasant (I appreciate how hard that can be in a busy hot enviroment like a chippy) Portions were well sized and great value, the smaller and regular portions were not excessive like some fish and chip shops. Chrios were very good, but the batter and the cod were fantastic. They also serve a wide array of other meals like pizzas etc. at the time I visited they were only taking cash payments but there is a cashpoint at the cop op opposite the chip shop. After 6pm you can park for free in the car park opposite rather thay trying to park outside the co op

Every year we visit and it's traditional that we get Fish & Chips on the last Friday evening. And they never disappoint. They are always very busy but always polite and courteous.

Best chip shop around. Great service, great food and great prices. We travel the extra mile as it’s the best and worth it every time. A pleasure to see “Light” papers to read whilst waiting for takeaway.
