We went into visit the garden centre and the guinea pigs and hamsters looked very well cared for. They had straw and food and somewhere to hide to go to sleep. The shop assistant was very knowledgeable and held the guinea pig very carefully while we looked at it.

Terrible! I’d rate 0 if I could. I went in to the store today and saw 4 baby guinea pigs in a ground floor cage with NO hides, beds or places to escape the human eye. Being a long term experienced guinea pig owner and currently having 5 pet guinea pigs I know that guinea pigs NEED places to hide to make them feel safe. Therefore the guinea pigs in this store will be traumatised. Do not sell animals if you can not provide them with proper care! Also guinea pigs need access to hay 24/7 and these poor baby guinea pigs had no hay what so ever! Appalled to say the very least

Today I brought two neon fish that unfortunately had the disease of ICH when I rung up the lady she was more then helpful she was willing to come to me to pic them up instead I went there!! they offered me 2 options money back
or a replacement
we picked three that were more money and she basically said sorry for the inconvenience and desail i have used and problems with the fish and gave my two girls the 3 fish that we was expected to pay a little more for and said she would treat the tank they were in

Occasionally walk in there as it is the only proper pet store in Ely but can't bear the birds and animals in tiny cages and just walk out. Just really sad.

Brands Of Ely has become a very good nursery to stop us from having to go further for seasonal plants and bargains.
