Mr Tech Guy, is a very, very good company. My experience with their work could not be better.
I sent my beloved 1990s Meridian 508.20 CD player to them for a full overhaul and service partly because the CD drawer was 'clonking' and the player even though ancient by modern standards is up there with some of the best CD players ever made, and I wanted it to be fully overhauled.
The sound from this player, as an audio source is absolutely top notch and enormously superior in every way to most modern players.
There is no-one more qualified and trustworthy than Mr Tech Guy Ltd, to carry out this kind of work on Meridian equipment.
Mr Tech Guy Ltd, are essential to those of us who recognise, that Meridian CD players remain unsurpassed in engineering excellence, sound quality and design. Russ dealt with me but I also spoke with Ed during the course of my dealings with them and he is equally friendly and helpful.
I'm extremely pleased with Mr Tech Guy Ltd. They really know what they're doing and I believe there's no company more expert and trustworthy than Mr Tech Guy Ltd, when it comes to Meridian repair.
In fact I'm so impressed and pleased with them that I've booked in my other vintage Meridian CD player, a 206 to be overhauled as well. Top 5 Star company without a shadow of doubt.

Was needing my very old fisher speakers restored. Russell has been excellent and went above and beyond to get my speakers renewed. Needless to say I am very happy with the renewed speakers, they pack a punch. You can see the difference between the 4 images.

Needed an amplifier repairing, used their messaging system was told £70 to fault find, gave the go ahead, then nothing.
Called them offering to drop it in, told no, you have to pay first, wasn’t told this previously, I was in the village at the time and willing to pay, but still no.
Sent more messages until I got a link to pay.
Once paid still nothing, sent a reminder email, unanswered.
Phoned them twice, told they’d get back to me and haven’t.
So a month after contact, out of pocket and no realistic prospect of getting the amplifier repaired.

I was so happy with Mr. Tech guy. They were able to diagnose and repair problems with the electronics of my Meridian D6000 speakers without me having to ship the cabinets which would have been near impossible given the size and weight. They only had the bear electronics, but were able to hook up to a speaker to test. They are highly skilled, professional and good communicators, and I was more than happy with the cost. I had previously gone to a local electronics repair shop who told me they had fixed the problem but hadn’t. I would recommend them without reservation.

sent a non-functional Linx Vega power amp for repair.the report suggested burnt trackways amongst other issues. a very difficult repair. on the first attempt a warranty return was requested for a loud channel buzz. this request has been honoured. the repair has been tested to a satisfactory level. unfortunately ,the advisory for over the proscribed set cost was not given. some might find this an issue, i wanted the device repaired , so not for me. this difficult task took a long time to be completed. i am happy with it and would recommend this company if you are patient.

I purchased a second-hand Philips Boombox (the same one I had as a child) but the tape mechanism didn't work. Russ was able to identify the problem, source the parts and fix it. He also kept me informed of progress throughout the repair, and was a delight to deal with. I would highly recommend Russ who has a wealth of experience and knowledge for any hifi repairs. I recently contacted Russ ( Mr Tech Guy ) concerning an issue I had with a Meridian amplifier I owned.
Over several email exchanges Russ very helpfully guided me through some preliminary checks and offered some very valuable advice prior to me sending the unit in for checking
As it happened through his help and knowledge I managed to get the unit up and running myself .. this would not have been possible without his assistance
I thoroughly recommend Mr Tech Guy and he will definitely get my business in the future.

After an unpromising start caused by problems with their communication system, I'm pleased to say that they have made an unhappy customer very happy. They repaired a very old Denon DCD-1700 which sounds great again - a job well done!
