Awful customer service they refused to exchange an item which was bought as a gift but was wrong size, even though it was returned unused with tags and receipt of purchase from the shop. This even though we were assured it could be exchanged when purchased. Borderline scam stay away!

Terrible after sales services. Be warned . I was sold a very expensive waterproof jacket, it’s not waterproof. Montane asked for Cotswold to take it back and exchange as their product has a lifetime warranty. They are not interested. I certainly would think twice about spending good money with Cotswold Outdoor again.

The reason I give one star is that I went into the Windsor shop yesterday to buy trainers. There was one shop assistant in that section who studiously ignored me and about three other customers, he focussed solely on one guy. After about ten minutes of being ignored I picked up a shoe and asked if he could help me. He just said that he had an appointment and was not going to help us. We other customers all just then left. Terrible service. He could have made eye contact at least and said he would help us when he could. Ever heard of a bit of multi tasking? Has he had any training at all?

I had a gait analysis done by Max at the Windsor branch and I am very new to running. My experience was great, Max was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and didn’t rush me at all. I found the perfect pair of trainers for my needs and learned a lot from Max about various brands and types of running shoe as well as how to look after them. No more putting my trainers in the washing machine 🫣
