Friendly and helpful staff who helped me search out the vinyl album I was after. The only downside is that they are still selling PVC album sleeves. See the BBC archive report on the damage they do to vinyl. I.e. vinyl rot.

The store is lovely and spacious, clean with lots of products. The reason for 3 stars is because the sales person closely followed our family as we were trying to look around. I made me feel quite uncomfortable. I didn't like the feeling of being monitored and treated suspiciously.

Great store, so glad it's still going and hopefully get a store back in my home town of Southampton in the future. Great selection of vinyl records. Located in a shopping centre so under cover and parking nearby

As one of the last remaining strongholds of physical music I've always loved HMV. The staff in this one are friendly, willing to help and serve promptly. The selection of music isn't what it used to be and over the years some of the more specialist sections have shrunk considerably, giving way to t-shirts, merchandise and pop culture trinkets but I understand why....with more and more music and film purchased digitally, you still need to sell something physical to keep the lights on.

The staff in the Winchester branch were very helpful and friendly when my wife and I visited. We were looking for their specials and they even dug out a tub from storage that had even more discounts. Great service.
