Lovely little break away! ||We had three nights here to enjoy the Christmas markets in Winchester. Hot tub lodge no11. ||The lodge was clean and thoughtfully catered for with tea towels, shampoo, washing liquid and a few DW tablets to hand. Lovely big bath sheets and very comfy beds. ||The hot tub was lovely, slightly basic but did the job. The putting green in the middle with putt/ balls available at the lodge is a lovely touch. ||It was my husbands 40th and a welcome balloon and card with the complimentary welcome tray awaited us which was so lovely. As it was Christmas the lodge had a wreath and Christmas tree also which was lovely. ||We made use of the therapist advertised by the lodges Lisa at Interblend came and completed massages for us both which was fantastic and very reasonable price wise I would recommend if you like a pamper! ||The smart tv was great but I’d suggest the lodge update the tv apps slightly as the channel 4 and itv are outdated and not completely usable which meant limited on selection and for us we had a young baby so did want to watch a movie together post hot tub in the evening. But either way we had a lovely time and would recommend. ||All staff we met were lovely and helpful.

UPDATE: I’m downgrading this review to 2 stars because the owners are too good at rejecting any claims. My point is that this is a great lodge, but you need to be proactive to have a good experience — it’s far from smooth. Calling back again and again (I had to call them 9 times), pushing beds back and forth, and checking on the hot tub myself to request the maintenance team because it was 34 degrees until they came at 17:40 — this is not what I want to do on my holiday, especially on the New Year’s Eve.

I’ve got photos to prove the number of calls and the hot tub temperature. I had to turn it back on every time I wanted to use it, so it was not maintained and no instructions were initially provided.

It’s a nice wooden lodge. Easy to get to from Winchester station even if you’re travelling by train+taxi. Peaceful area. Clean bathrooms, kitchen and linen.

We had asked for 2 high chairs and had to call back because there was only 1. The hot tub was not heating properly a couple of hours after our arrival, and we had to call for last minute support because ‘everybody was going to be off the following day (bank holiday)’ - that just doesn’t make sense because it’s a hospitality facility where people are meant to stay during holidays. Also considering that they mention everywhere that the hot tub would be maintained during our stay! They refused to push two twin beds together so we had to do it ourselves in two rooms. The check out was 10am which is way too early for a family facility. The staff was nice when dealing with the issues but overall it was not the experience I had expected based on other reviews, too many small things during our very short stay.

Fantastic lodge / luxurious and clean . Wonderful treats and everything you need in place . |All the facilities were great and the shampoo and conditioner in the shower smelt gorgeous. |The hot tub was sparkling clean and lovely and warm . Thank you for a great stay .

We booked a couple of lodges for a long weekend in Winchester. We wanted somewhere local to the city with a chilled environment so we could relax as we all lead busy lives. We also loved hot tubs! ||The lodges were both well equipped and clean and spacious with everything we needed for our stay. There was a tray made up in each lodge with tea, coffee and snack which were all good quality. It was also great to have washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and a couple of tea-towels in the kitchen to help with keeping everything clean. |The beds were comfy and we all slept well and it was nice to have big bath sheets rather than small bath towels that you get in so many places.|One evening we went to the golf club house for drinks in the evening before heading into Winchester for dinner. We sat on the terrace and enjoyed the evening sun with a G&T|We opted for the very reasonably priced Sunday leave at your leisure upgrade which meant we could have a lazy morning in the hit tub and a hearty brunch before we all departed.

Great lodges that are extremely well equipped.||The hot tubs are really good and well worth paying a bit extra for.||Some lodges are dog friendly and there are accessible woods to walk the dogs. Once the golfers have finished for the day you can also get onto the course.||Be aware that the golf club often stops doing food at 4pm, but the lunchtime menu was good and very good value.

We stayed in lodge 9 a 2 bed with a hot tub. Absolutely beautiful place. It had all the amenities required for our stay, including a fully equipped kitchen. The beds were super comfortable and a 2 bathrooms one with a shower and one with a bath. Large open plan lounge/ dining / kitchen great for all of us to sit in and play games. The hot tub and decking area was great, my 10 and 13 year old nieces thoroughly enjoyed it. We even set up our badminton net on the grass next to our lodge. The little putting green was good fun too. It’s a remote area but if you bring games etc there’s plenty to do. We went out each day to visit different places in Hampshire all with 10/45 mins drive away - including the New Forest and the Aquadrome in Basingstoke. Will definitely visit again.

Very comfortable and well equipped, quiet,, good location, spacious and excellent customer service. The lodges are arranged around a putting green and are spaced away from the course itself. Winchester is a vibrant and attractive city with lots of history.

Quiet and peaceful location nestled centrally by the South Winchester Gold Course, the lodges were roomy and well maintained.
The afternoon tea on arrivals was a nice touch and made us feel at home.
The 3 bedroom are large with plenty of space for the family and the kitchen is well equipped.
Only drawback for us was the zipper king bed was feeling a little tired but otherwise the lodges are highly recommended for a quiet stay on the outskirts of Winchester.
In addition, our children enjoyed the gold putting area next to the lodges.
