Park and Ride site used for Friends of King Alfred buses bus running day held May day Bank Holiday each year. Park your car here and take a vintage bus into the city and enjoy the day.

Excellent park and ride facilities, we park our van here and took the bus, driven by lovely, welcoming lady, to Winchester centre. Flat fee £3.50 to £1.80 the machine only takes either coins or smart cards. Thank you Winchester city Council.

I travelled to the East Park and Ride for a National Coach service to Heathrow. The National Coaches stop is opposite Area 4. The signposting isn’t great, so I’ve attached pictures to help if it’s your first time.

Park and ride on the outskirts of Winchester. £3.50 to park,buses to the town centre are regular and there are a couple of drop off points so I thought it was good value. The journey back was a little confusing as the puck up was at a different location but friendly locals put us right and the bus driver was helpful,telling us the part of the car park we needed to get off at.

This is an excellent parking spot for visiting the city. We've been a couple of times and have had no difficulty in finding parking.
There are some rudimentary toilets next to the bus stop.
Busses deliver their passengers to a point on the Broadway beside the Guildhall.
The busses run every few minutes, but get fairly full.
Your parking ticket doubles as a buss ticket

Used this for the first time today prompted by the stunning increase in town centre parking costs to £18 for anything in excess of 4 hours. Great value for £3.50 to get parking for the day plus return bus travel for all the family. The approaches are well signed from the motorway and surrounding roads. Buses are regular and efficient and the stops are well placed within the city. St Catherine’s layout is confusing at first as there are several boarding points depending on where you park but I am sure that these will become clearer with use. My buses today were not displaying onboard details of approaching stops which is really helpful if you don’t know the city too well. On the whole, a good service and I will definitely use again.

Easy to find. Easy to park. Regular busses. Easy to pay (MI Parking app or card) and cheaper than parking in the City center. Friendly drivers. Toilets are clean and accessible.
