Review for Co-op Stotfold

I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Co-op in Stotfold. The staff were very rude, unhelpful, and seemed entirely miserable. It was evident they couldn’t be bothered to assist, and their attitude was unacceptable.

In particular, one older woman made the experience especially unpleasant. I was shopping with my son, who has special needs, and her behavior was appalling. She gave us evil looks, acted rudely, and completely ignored me when I asked for help. I mentioned that the card machine wasn’t working and that my Co-op membership card wouldn’t scan, but she just ignored me and processed the transaction without a word.

This kind of behavior is unacceptable and far from the standard I expect from Co-op. I strongly recommend retraining your staff to improve their customer service skills and attitudes toward customers. A little kindness and understanding go a long way, especially when dealing with families or those needing assistance.

I will think twice before returning to this store.

Dear oh dear! considering this is the only supermarket, in now a large town what can I say, limited choice, rotten garlic that should never be on sale, rotten mushrooms , well past their best. For a town this size, this is a joke. We need a serious supermarket here, not something acting like a corner shop. No sweetcorn, no burgers and above all can be very expensive, actually dearer than Waitrose and M&S on a lot of items, Come on get real .

A fairly big store, considering. Staff are helpful. The small issue with the Co-op; their prices are higher than most of the other supermarkets, so it’s probably not the place to do the weekly shop. A helpful store to pick up the bits and bobs that run out quickly during the week or handy items you forgot on the weekly shop.

Bright, clean, modern store with a wide selection of high quality & ethical own brand products. Friendly community minded staff that are all wearing masks.
The Co-op is always going to be more expensive than Tesco's, Aldi ect as they have a very different business model that is focused on ethical trading over rock bottom prices. The 5% back that members get on own brand products does make shopping there more affordable.
But overall the quality of the products, the customer service they provide and the support they give to the local community make shopping here a must!

The refitted store is brilliant and well worth visiting. The heating system works properly now as they've lowered the ceiling. Ignore comments older than April 17. Staff friendly and new self service tills are a plus. A pleasant shopping experience.

A large friendly community co-op convenience store with a post office inside that offers a good selection of high quality and ethically sourced food and drink. As it is a convenience store you can't expect it to try and compete with superstores or discount retailers on price and range of branded goods but it always has an array of promotional offers that help keep costs down and the 5% you get back as a member is a big help. The store can get busy at peak times with Queues at the checkouts but I have never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to be served, however if you really can't wait then there are 6 'card only' self service machines available to use. Only real negative is no cash machine after yet another ram raid , but I have heard that another one will be installed soon.

Local Coop that serves it's target audience well.

All the basics are found here, pricing is a good point with lots of offers and bargains to be found. All served by friendly staff (in my experience)

Has it's own car park but the only negative here is the entrance and exit as it's tight and on the bend.

Has the added bonus of the local Post Office which provides a fantastic service and the two ladies serving today were very polite and friendly

Visited yesterday. No one at door. Except help yourself spray and wipe. People just walking in, no limiting numbers! Apart from trying to space from people nothing fresh to buy! Markers nr the self service tills but as no one spacing themselves anyway a waste of time! This shop needs to get its act together. Look at other food retailers. Think of the elderly that shop there! Not good enough. This virus is NO joke! Feel sorry for the workers there. No protection for them !
