Remona Boutique Fashion - Burton-on-Trent

I have shopped and bought from this boutique for some time now. Remona herself is a really lovely helpful lady. She is kind & nice to talk to.
But today I went in to return an item for the very first time. Remona was not in today instead I
was met with the other owner of the boutique. I mentioned politely that my sister and I often go from Derby to Burton to shop at this fashion boutique and that we had been two weeks previously and purchased two items , each which we normally do. One of the items was a £17 Black belt ( which was the item I was returning) I explained that I had tried the belt on at home and that it was a little tight. I asked if I could replace it with a longer belt.

The owner said “well it will stretch”. Which I thought a little rude) I explained I wasn’t after the money that I would just like another belt.
He said “they are all the same size”
He then went on to check my receipt which was given to him in perfect condition He checked the belt which I had returned untouched in pristine condition with the tag still attached. He went on the computer ( at this point) I asked could I have a refund then” I thought he might at least offer me a credit note, but no he said “ you only get 14 days to return a purchase”
Not something that has ever been mentioned before. ( most stores allow 28 days for returns)
I explained that I come from Derby and can’t get very often. I was unbeknown to me one day out
( going in on day 15 of my purchase)
I couldn’t believe that he couldn’t have cared less.

My husband is a Cancer patient which doesn’t allow me as much time as I would like to go to Burton more often. I asked him so you are saying I can’t have another belt or refund because I’m one day out of the 14 day return allowance?
Even though I had kept my receipt , kept the belt still wrapped in tissue paper to keep it pristine, with its price tag in tact.
He was just not interested.
He didn’t even offer me a credit note. I am hugely disappointed and quite cross at his attitude. Sadly Remona I will never purchase from your Boutique again. 😡

Lovely shop, what a refreshing change to find an engaging, friendly and very helpful lady. Real customer service still exists at Remona. Love the clothes and can't wait to go again. Made 3 purchases at Romano boutique today, what a lovely little gem this shop is, really unusual clothing & staff were very accommodating, I had 5* service, I will certainly be returning, fab shop & staff.

Would highly recommend this shop would give more stars ⭐️⭐️ If I could. They have a wide variety of clothes, fantastic quality so many different colours, very affordable prices. The owners go above & beyond exceeded all my expectations. They really make sure you are happy 😊 before you leave the store. Excellent customer service. I even needed an fascinator for a wedding they didn’t even stock them but she contacted hers suppliers & got me a selection no clothing store would do that for you these days. What an amazing customer service.

Popped into Remona's whilst on my lunch break. Staff are so friendly and helpful.

Please visit Remona boutique in Burton. The items for sale are absolutely stunning especially the Sarah Tempest jewellery you will not find nicer jewellery in any other shop.
The two people that run this store are incredibly kind. Please visit to keep these smaller shops going in this difficult time that we are having. Thank you for your kindness and making us smile today xxxx

Lovely little boutique with lots of lovely individual pieces. The Team are lovely and customer service is excellent. Have bought from them a couple of times now, including today, and will be a regular. Go check it out, it’s well worth a visit!
