The box arrived totally damage free on the outside. No cardboard compression, no scuffs, no corners damaged, and the contents were heavy, so if DPD had mishandled the item as Transtools suggested, it would very evident. You would therefore fully expect the contents to be in an equally pristine state? And if the contents were damaged, you could draw the conclusion that they were damaged prior to being boxed up.

When I opened the box, there was paint all around the tin, it was heavily dented on the lid, somebody had applied black tape in a bid to stop an obvious leak, it was also shrink wrapped, badly. Would DPD have done this? I don't think so, but Transtools suggested that they have had dreadful problems with DPD and that their service was questionable, I've never had issues with them personalIy.

I managed to wipe up the paint that spilled out, otherwise, Transtools would also be getting a bill for a new dining table.

So Transtools tried to blame DPD for the damage. They fail to understand that my contract in law is with them as the seller and not the courier they choose to use, despite what they think of them?

Please read all of their Google reviews prior to ordering from them. It doesn't make good reading.

The pictures are really all you need, to decide if ordering from them is a good idea.

AVOID! Awful company. Wasted £23 on spoiled paint. Useless and rude customer service. No refund, replacement or goodwill gesture given. Look at the pictures of the paint! It's literally like water. Barely paint at all. Other reviews say exactly the same as me.

Sold old, spoiled paint and refused to refund it despite me returning what was left of the tin (I hadn't realised that it wouldn't dry with the correct finish matching the same paint I had bought elsewhere). Basically told.me it wasn't their problem and washed their hands of it. It's only a tin of paint in this case but I certainly wouldn't trust them with any bigger purchases. Avoid

Waited 10 days still no item, was told sorry must be lost in post will send out another, turns out they lied and they had never sent it out in the first place. Unfortunately I only saw their rubbish reviews after I purchased. Very poor customer service and delivery time is terrible for this day and age. As I write this Iam still waiting on my item 16 days later. Never came across a website like this in my life, I think they need to get with the times and give the some more priority to their online sales. Will never be back to their site again and will be letting others know with reviews like this to stay clear.

I wish I had read the reviews of this company before ordering. :/

Customer service is absolutely shocking and what's worse - they use Yodel and Hermes to deliver. It's been almost 2 weeks now since I ordered and the item still hasn't turned up (and it'll be ruined when it does because it must be unwrapped and flattened promptly) - and now Transtools wants me to wait another 3 days to see if Hermes deliver it. And if they do, they want me to send the ruined item back to them, and they'll then try again to send the item - no refund until this happens. I've now had to initiate a chargeback through my credit card company - which I've never had to do before! Absolute jokers - don't touch this company with a bargepole, they'll do everything they can to delay giving a refund. It's like dealing with Ryanair.

Appalling delivery times and bad customer service. Their website says that orders are normally delivered within 2-3 working days - I waited nearly 3 weeks for my very simple order. On top of that, they took 5 days to respond to my e-mails regarding the whereabouts of said order. Do not recommend. Would never use again.

Avoid this outfit, I won't ever use them again. Ordered from them on Amazon on Fri evening, they didn't give my parcel to the Hermes courier till following Weds. Hermes tracking page kept telling me "we are waiting for the item from the retailer". Transtoools just blamed slow updates; they couldn't have cared less. I should have just picked a different seller when Amazon's Doddle option wasn't given for this purchase from them (but for other sellers, selling the same product, it is) They sent me a tin that had 3 dents in it and wouldn't even sit flat cos the bottom was blown out.
