Very rude owner, and I see from the few reviews Richard has got we didn’t catch him on a bad day. Such a shame as the selection is good but he lost out on our sale because we didn’t agree with how he spoke to another customer before us. We always support the local shops, use them or lose them, but happy to see this one go. Everything is available for much cheaper elsewhere.

Bought a knife sharpener called HORL 2 and it’s not getting the sharpness as the owner said it would on my knifes. Asked for a refund and I was rudely and flatly refused immediately. £159.00 down the pan.

Found Richard friendly & helpful. I ordered a couple of items which unfortunately arrived after I had returned home. Richard posted them to me! Great service! Will definitely return to this Aladdin's Cave of quality items for the kitchen!

Came on a Sunday, the shop was closed, fair comment, everyone needs a day off, but came again on the Thursday driving 92 miles to get 2 x plates and 2 x mugs that I'd fallen in love with seeing them in the window, I mentioned that I'd been on the Sunday and was " told off" in no uncertain terms about why they don't open Sundays!!! I wasn't even moaning, it was just conversation, I work in a shop too so try to engage with customers, i wasn't going to bother with items but really wanted them, plus I'd driven a long way, but certainly won't be returning as felt very upset by the way the man spoke to me. Perhaps my £40 wasn't a massive sale but in these hard times every little helps as they say.

Not impressed at all with a steamer bought from here only been used 3/4 times and to be quite frank I would say that it already looks in worse condition than the one it replaced.
