I cannot recommend Limelight enough - I found my wedding dress here for my June 2024 wedding and it was absolutely perfect. The ladies here are so friendly and care about their brides every step of the way - they don't rush you or pressure you into making a decision, and truly do put you as the bride at the centre of the experience.
I had been to other shops before finding Limelight and honestly they just don't compare, the range of dresses, the friendliness and care of the staff, the lovely clean and beautiful setting of the shop just makes it perfect!
Special mention to Kaye for being so fabulous and making me feel special in my dress, and to Rita for making it fit just right. I felt absolutely amazing on my day!

Exceptional service and the most beautiful dresses. I have tried 3 bridal shops before visiting Limelight and for the most part had received quite pushy service or ignored with styles I had said I had liked. This was not the case in Limelight, from the moment I entered Sue and her team were warm, friendly and welcoming. The entire team are genuine with their desire to help and find the right dress for you. The range of dresses is incredible and they really have something for everyone and they listened to what I liked about each dress before selecting me the dress to try on which was my dream dress. Exceptional service and would 100% recommend to any bride.

Gorgeous boutique and all the staff are so lovely. Unfortunately I didn’t find my dress here but my Mum found her Mother of the Bride outfit and I’m now returning with my bridesmaids in November. Such a lovely atmosphere and they make every experience so special 🤍🤍

I had the BEST experience at Limelight! I visited one bridal shop before Limelight, which stocked very ‘samey’ dresses. The range at Limelight was much bigger, and they really listened to what I wanted and what I didn’t. I was stuck between 2 dresses and felt no obligation to buy one that day - I came back 6 months later and tried both on again and then decided. I was also pleased they tried to push me out of my comfort zone and try something a little more fitted, as this was the dress I ended up buying! The whole experience felt very genuine and that they cared about how I felt in the dress, rather than just getting a sale. I would recommend to anyone looking for a wedding dress!

Thankyou so much to you all for helping me and my mum choose gorgeous dresses for the big day. Everyone were amazing and made us both feel so comfortable from the minute we walked through the door. They made the whole experience so special and I cannot Thankyou enough. Massive thanks to Jo and Rita for helping me choose the perfect dress and fit was stunning.

The shop had such a range of dresses so perfect to find the right one to suit you!

Highly recommend to anyone in search for their dream dress.

Positive:
-Shop it beautiful have lots space and a good parking
-All family can get dress at the same place.
-They have a large selection of dresses, in even for plus size brides, and they are willing to open them to allow it to see it in your body.
-Dresses are good price and look original and unique

Negative:
-Lighting in the changing rooms it is horrible to made the adjustments, everything made shades.
-I have large hips so my dress need a big adjustment at the bodice, sadly i trust their tailor to do the amendments, it was definitely beyond her knowledge. They know how to do some simple mends but nothing professional.
My bodice have one armpit 1,5 cm smaller down the other, the cleavage wasn't symmetrical, the straps we are elastic to they didn't offer support, they keep insisting in adding caps, to offer support to my breast (something only make them bigger, and looks tacky), the deform the back cleavage original was "V" they make a "U". it looks like a have a hump( no flattering at all in my wedding photos)
All the sewing on the inside the dress will make cry any professional tailor, no equal distance in the stitches, no covering of the sewing so ending rubbing the skin.
- Also impossible to acomodate trying session with working hours, i need to take days of to be able to tried the dress.
-They have 3 full months to do final adjustment and they left every to the last week.
I done 5 trying session, 2 of them leave the shop crying, because the insist in I look good, when the dress was uncomfortable and not near to be done properly. They didn't take any feedback, they only offer susjestions and not a single solution. They genuine look like they didn't know what to do.
-I asked to create a hoop for tack the train, it was so badly done it broke on the first attend.
-The bones of the bodice weren't saw and two of them coming out
- The breast caps were place back to front and left to wright, when i told they we are wrong they insist in was my point of view and the were fine. it look like a have 4 breast it look awful and they didn't care. i finally convince to change it, and they claim was their idea, infuriating.
-They didn't measurements or notes of the amendment to do in each session, they only put pins on the dress, relay in the memory of the tailor.
-The dress come with pockets when the shorten the dress they removed the pockets, and the charge extra to put them back.
Also they didn't achieve to do on time, so they only so one pocket.
They done a previous attend to so the pocket, but they done it in the first layer, so was visible, who in the sane mind will do that in a wedding dress.
I didn't have time to do it myself, but i definitely will do a better job.
-I paid extra for the removing of the bidding under the armpit they didn't done properly i was loosing biddinng everywhere, i just spend my pre-wedding party sewing my dress.
At the end after all the time and money spent (more than 700p. in amendments, i really want it to look good. I wasn't happy but i just want to leave the shop)
Back in my home overseas my local retired tailor manage to repared the dress to offer support, she change the straps and remove the caps, i have more support like i didn't need to use a brasserie or tape the dress( took her only 2 hours)the bodice was so badly mend that she said need to redo it completely and will take her a day, unfortunately her daughter have an accident need to be taken to hospital, she wasn't able to repair before the wedding.
Like any bride i would like to feel beautiful in my wedding day, unfortunately wasn't my case, i know the potential of the dress and was very sad to see it in my photos that way. I was so disappointed with the service that took me 8 months to write this review because i want to be fair.

Conclusion:
If you have a dress need lots amendments or you have a body not fit the magazine standards, do not do the amendments in this shop, dresses are beautiful but tailor not professional, and the customer service is good only if you agree with what they said.
