Last time, when I needed gym protein, the staff member Lakshmi at Holland & Barrett helped me choose the one that suited my body. Yesterday, I went to the store again and asked if Lakshmi was available. They called her, and she was very helpful in assisting me to select the right multivitamins and omega tablets. Great and helpful staff. A lady (Indian origin and wearing a mask) whose name I cannot recall was very helpful and made some great recommendations on vitamins I had questions about. She showed me what I inquired about and then shared her knowledge on what I should also consider. Great Service, Thank You.

I used to really enjoy coming to this branch when I lived here 3 years ago. My recent visit was disappointing. Many items out of stock from supplements to nuts and dried fruit. Staff were not very customer friendly or customer centric, previously people would greet you and offer you assistance. I asked one lady for assistance for a supplement and she was able to help but then continued her work right away and seemed very busy. The rest of the staff seemed a bit irresponsible and when there was a large queue, 2 members of staff kept making excuses to jump on a till when asked to.

The cashier allowed someone she had served who left and returned to the store to cut the queue for a refund. If she could have kindly explained “give me a moment to quickly to this and I’ll be with you” it would have been a lot more polite. There were 8 people in the queue and nothing was communicated. It’s poor manners. But at least it’s good to know this store allows and welcomes pushing in front of the queue for future reference 😅

I would recommend training for this retail team as quite a few customers seemed to need help and the knowledge in the store seemed locked to one person. I think this store is a pretty bad reflection of the brand - I have been regularly using H&B for 10 years for cruelty free products and health but the quality of this store lets the name down.

I would recommend going to a different branch or ordering online instead of using the Hounslow branch.

Big store with the usual generic stuff they sell all over, discounts now and then, ok customer service, but they need to work on their till skills, never seem to be able to find you
