My dad and siblings come here on most Fridays. The lady that is usually at the till is so welcoming and thoughtful she goes above and beyond giving us a friendly welcome and great service...Give her a raise. Never had a bad experience at this food place!

I’ve been a regular customer at Dessert Island for years and have generally enjoyed their offerings. However, a few hours ago, I ordered two milkshakes - a Mars and a Chocolate Gelato - and both tasted off.

Despite informing the staff, they did not acknowledge the issue and insisted that the milk and ice cream used were fine. I had to bin both shakes due to their poor quality.

This lack of customer service was disappointing, especially given my positive experiences in the past. I hope they address this issue to maintain their usual quality standards.

I'm not usually one to write reviews, but when it comes to Dessert Island, I feel compelled to share my experience. Every time I've ordered or dined in, it has been exceptional. You can tell the staff truly love what they do, and it reflects in everything they make. Their waffles are like magic, the ice cream always tastes fresh and delicious, and the cakes are truly top-notch. It’s clear that everything is made with care and passion. Honestly, I have nothing negative to say. The only thing that could elevate Dessert Island even further is its interior design. I believe the ambiance should match the high quality and love that goes into their desserts, which are honestly exceptional.

My husband and I love Dessert Island!!!

We've tried the pink bubblegum ice cream, blue bubblegum ice cream, banana ice cream, chocolate ice cream, Ferrero Rocher cheesecake, Ferrero Rocher ice cream, Kinder ice cream, and waffle cones. All have been so yummy!!

Everyone is so friendly there as well!

We have been using this restaurant for many years however we’ve had an acceptable experience today. Order placed via just eat however delivery did not arrive. When we called the restaurant they said the driver tried calling the phone number many times and left the food at the door. No phone calls were received and no food was delivered. The restaurant basically told us that it is what it is. Considering that we use this restaurant regularly they still did not believe us. We will hereby not be using this restaurant again!!

Been a customer for years but now my experience wasn’t great
Everything was cold and I was missing items, gajar halwa was absolutely terrible
Ordered a hot fudge sundae and was not hot at all. Cookie dough also tasted like it has gone off
For the price I paid was not happy

Tasty and great value for money portions are huge. Waffles were quality - 4 in each portion and freshly made. Comes with ice cream, toppings and fresh cream.

Really friendly staff too.

Definitely recommend a visit with kids.

Parking right outside is free after 6pm.

mehhhh. Sub standard desserts, slightly grotty, no real flair. Everything seems to have come out of a tub, or packet. Much better dessert parlous in Bedford, or small cafes with better made cakes.

The waffle my son had seemed almost raw in the middle, and my peanut / snickers concoction tasted sickly sweet. This may be what people want - in that case this is the place for you!
