My husband cooked a lamb noisette from Robert today. The BEST bit of lamb I have ever eaten it was so tender and didn’t “smell lamby” at all. We regularly get our meat from Robert and won’t be changing any time soon!

A quality all-round butcher! The fresh meat is top quality and a good range of sausages, pies and puddings made to perfection! Very good "specials" always available ... all-round prices very competitive! Staff are all approachable and have good knowledge of their trade. So glad I found this establishment as I like to buy meat as required and not have to freeze it! Have started buying here twice a week. I'll not be buying butchery items from supermarkets in future. Highly recommend Pomphret's!

It's fantastic to have a quality butcher so close to home and a pleasure to be able to buy superb quality produce, backed up by people who know what they're doing and give brilliant service and advice, should you ask for it. Being on my own, I don't eat a great deal of meat and I'm more than happy to have Pomfret's a five minute walk away. Definitely five star in every way.

Good service great quality meat and good value for money. Nothing is a problem you get what you ask for, all packed in freezer bags for you when you get home. Brilliant service.
