I had a hair cut here a couple of months ago (late review due to a house move). I have thin, fine hair that grows quite fast, so I usually go for a decent trim (I have long hair) with LONG layers.

I felt virtually bold after my visit. I’ve never had my fine hair chopped like this... In fact, I was always advised against many short layers due to how thin my hair was. I can no longer put my hair in a plait (my fav style on the go). There’s just no hair for it. There isn’t a hair tie small enough to get a grip of what’s left.. 😭 my hair is already looking better, but it’ll take months, if not years, to recover after this haircut (my long hair is before the cut, the rest is after)

First visit to this salon. It was quiet (Tuesday lunchtime) but had a really nice, relaxed atmosphere. I was brought a very large cup of tea. Lise, the style director, cut my hair. It is very fine and wasn't looking very happy when I went in. Coming out, it looked gorgeous. I'm absolutely delighted and will be coming back. Thank you so much!

Recently started having my hair cut by Jessie. I couldn’t be happier. She listens to what you want and gives good advice on what would suit you. The cut and colour is perfect. Highly recommend Jessie.

Another fabulous hair treatment by Karen. They always listen, and then carry out what you want, as opposed to other salons I have been to where they do what they want. The atmosphere in the salon is always very welcoming, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I had the most amazing experience at Silks today.
Jess greeted me with a smile and was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked through the door. She listened to the problems with my hair and set to work to tame my wild locks. My hair took longer than expected and she never complained once. I am over the moon with my new style and cut and I will be definitely back to see her.
