Service - Poor- thought i was getting served by " Kevin the teenager" dyed blue hair ", no customer service
Seating - Shocking most have rips or tears, covered in stains from melted chocolate , crap laying around , these where Lux seats meant to be
Sound quality - well for the 1st 90mins of movie i could hear the thud of bass music from the ice rink and xmas market outside, so this wasn't great
Toilets - someone had been vomited a pile of popcorn in one of the gents urinals , it was there at start, halfway and end of movie, so 3 hours and no one cleaned it
Also went out halfway thru to get another drink and asked for my ticket it didnt have it on me so they would not sell me a soft drink as i didnt have my ticket , all because they want to register the sale to the movie, sort it out have a button to press on till
,there was a kid (12yr old ) just walking back and forward around the cinema during movie,
people taking photos and using flash during movie

THIS CINEMA IS A JOKE, it is falling apart, it is getting knocked down and moved so i guess they dont care.

Staff good but that's about it ,visited several times and always dirty with rubbish everywhere.

Went in this afternoon to watch Mufasa with my kids and was served by a lovely gentleman called Farid, he showed exceptional customer service and was quite fast to get to every customer even though the lines were building up quite fast. Also usually when you get extras or topping at places you tend to get tiny portions, however he really did give a reasonable sized portion especially considering last time I had been to the cinema wasn’t the same, really trying to make my customer experience the best. Also was trying to recommend a few favourite and was very helpful and playful with my kids too. Overall was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to revisit back and hopefully might get to be served by that amazing guy again

I didn’t realise that the Vue Thurrock was suffering from the Great Depression of 2024, but clearly after my visit today, that seems to be the case. I bought my tickets online and thought I’d treat my son and I to some VIP seats as a treat. The low price of the tickets was probably the only half decent thing about today’s outing. I get to the counter to purchase some overpriced popcorn and soda (that’s expected, I’m not upset about that), but I’m faced with the most lifeless, unenthusiastic, zombified, depressed looking staff I have ever seen in my life. Perhaps it’s because they’re underpaid, or maybe because their managers are energy vampires sucking the life force out of them. Either way, they moved at the pace of a thousand dying gazelles and did not seem to care about customer service or getting the queues down. There was only one person in front of me, yet it took what felt like a leap year just to get served. Moving on, we get to the cinema room and approach our seats, only to find a disgusting/uncleaned set of seats filled with old popcorn and suspicious stains. Even my boy (who would eat sweets even if he dropped them on the grass) was disgusted, you can’t make it up!! Not sure what happened to this cinema, as it used to be my go-to place when I was younger. Now, it’s just a depressive mess or poor customer service and terrible hygiene practises. I appreciate that the tickets were relatively cheap, but this was a joke. I will not be coming here again. Karen moment over, I’m going to sink into my heart-attack amount of sweets I purchased from Poundland.

Vue Thurrock Cinema has had its day. Seems Vue has not spent any money on this cinema since it first opened which is a shame due to being such a popular cinema within the area as being linked to Lakeside. Front doors had smashed glass, foyer was not in the best condition and in terms of the cinema screen itself - seats were filthy with black marks and cup holder was sticky. I have been coming to this cinema since it first opened, it needs money investing in it or refurbished to compete with other cinemas within the area. Understand that it’s cheaper then other competitors but I would rather pay a bit more and be comfortable in a clean environment then sit in the screen I did again. Right shame.

This has to be the dirtiest cinema I have ever been in. Literally covered in food and dirt everywhere.

How on earth is it left in this state between each film. The seats are stained and dirty, I didnt even want to rest my head on the headrest, or touch the arm rests... and those were their luxury VIP seats. The floors everywhere are filthy. arm rests are broken and chair coverings falling off. It's like a cinema that hasn't seen a clean for a decade.

Staff walk past the dirt and see tables, floors, chairs and carpets covered in litter and food, but continue walking. No wonder there are reports of rodents as described in others reviews.

How are management scheduling cleaning? Clearly not very well.

Vue head office - are you aware of the actual state of this cinema? Do regional/area managers ever visit to see how it is running? It would appear there is little care at all.

I will certainly not be going back to this cinema, and judging by the reviews from others, I won't be the only one.

Went to see Mufasa by myself becase im a sado.. Anyway I had arrived and my phone died so had no way of accessing my pre booked ticket. I spoke to a young man at the desk (dont know name but he was ginger with long hair) and he was very helpful and managed to find my booking. It was clean and all staff helpfull and freindly.

DID NOT ACCEPT OUR VOUCHER.
We visited Vue Lakeside on Sat 15th February with valid and activated Vue gift voucher to purchase our three tickets. Wish we had gone to Romford instead but they didn’t have the viewing time we needed.
We approached the till, I took out the voucher, the till agent immediately said “we’re not accepting vouchers right now.” No apologies, no offer of a discount, no “I’ll ask my manager what we can do”, nothing. This was completely unacceptable.
We would have turned away immediately and my husband wanted to, except we had our seven-year-old with us and she would have been bitterly disappointed as she was looking forward to a movie.
Vue, you need to treat your patrons better! You cannot sell gift vouchers which then cannot be used!
