Lovely and helpful staff, quick service. Reasonably priced too, walked away with 2 potting soil bags, 7 nursery pots, 15 bamboo sticks, a few seed packets and 1 decorative pot for just under £30.
The store is decently sized, not as big as other B&Qs. Large garden section.
HOWEVER a lot of the pots and garden decorations they have for sale are smashed and destroyed but still up for full price.

I just visited the store, I always been going to lakeside or beckton store and always hard to find staff member when need help. Today in Romford branch I been looking for flooring for my house and came across Nicola who’s been exceptional helping me pick the flooring. She’s a real credit to the store and I don’t think her manager is aware of it. People like her make shopping fun and she’s good very good listen and communication skill, I can tell she’s not there to just selling anything but trying to understand what customer is looking for and that’s rare to find these days.

Very bad experience and poor customer service. All those staff were white british and racist towards Asian customers. The kitchen designer Billy was very unprofessional and ordered wrong items for my kitchen. I ordered for a Integrated hob and oven but he didn't place the order for that when my kitchen arrived items was missing and he didn't even tell me he didn't ordered it. Also some.of the delivery came on different date but he didn't tell me the delivery will arrive on different date. When I was placing the order he was flirting with his colleague instead of communicating with me.professionnaly. also the girl who works there are very rude as soon as they see Asian customers. I think most of those staff were trained to be rude with Asian customers.

extremely bad experience at this B&Q, not only were the products misplaced and i had to spend almost an hour trying to find an item, but the marketing man at the exit door put me in a position where i felt severely uncomfortable. he pulled me aside without giving me a chance to speak and manipulated me into feeling like i had to stand there whilst feeling really uncomfortable. it felt like i was being harassed because of the way he acted towards me. he kept
asking lots of personal questions not relevant to what he was marketing and despite me giving blunt answers and clearly being shaken up, he carried on. even when i was leaving he was STILL talking. It really felt like he was taking advantage of the fact that i was clearly feeling like i couldn’t leave the situation. first and last time
visiting this store.

Just wanted to thank Nicola in the Paint section. Her customer service was excellent. Extremely helpful and ensured we left happy with the correct product. Next time I am in the shop I will be searching for her if I need assistance. Her colleague could do with learning a thing or two from her about customer service.

Easy parking and access, lots of staff available to assist, however when it came to paying, there only seemed to be one self service machine working and one manned till. I managed to find everything I needed for a bit of painting and plenty of choice at a reasonable price

Takes 10 minutes for someone to come to the Click & Collect desk. Pointless service that was meant to be created so that it’s quick. Staff were too busy chatting to each other to help, the one person who did arrive wasn’t even trained in click & collect. Definitely wouldn’t use it again.

Well done to the lady who helped us find a pot we needed. Very diligent. Did not stop until she resolved our problem. Just sorry I never took note of her name. (Worked in garden section)
