If you (think you) know what you want, or if you need ideas & inspiration about flooring, this is the only place you will ever need to go. It is a one stop shop from choosing, to measuring, to fitting!
This is a friendly family run business with people that really do care about the customer (yes really)!
We had shopped until we dropped & called into Oates on the off chance. How glad am I that we did.
We told the salesman "David" that we knew what we wanted & just wanted to finalise colours. Luckily, after listening to us going on, David (very nicely) pointed out one or two flaws in our plans & showed us some alternative options. He arranged a home visit to measure & assess the area where he advised a suitable option at a budget to suit. We ordered the flooring which (just like everyone else) we wanted sorting as soon as possible. David arranged the delivery & the fitting in double quick time &, just as importantly, kept us updated throughout. The fitters turned up as scheduled & after having dealt with a multitude of tradesmen over the past 3 months, these fitters were a breath of fresh air. They politely introduced themselves, explained what they would be doing & confirmed if we were happy for them to set to. They completed the job quickly & professionally. Before leaving they checked we were happy with the standard of work & left the place clean & tidy.
The whole experience of dealing with this company proved that customer service still exists & shows why knowledgeable people, in the right area are worth their weight in gold.

This was a great experience and many thanks to Martin, David and Debbie. The replacement of my corridor and living room floor from carpet to wood has thoroughly enhanced the look of the property. The assistance provided in selecting the type and colour of the wooden floor proved invaluable. Your patience and professionalism allowed me to have the exact flooring that I am truly pleased with. The fitter Andy was outstanding in every respect. His attention to detail and professionalism throughout was a credit to him. Extremely tidy, ensuring that at every stage of the fitting the area was clean and dust free. This was overall a great experience and many thanks to the team at Oates Flooring and Blinds.

We'd been to a couple of other 'big' places to get quotes and then someone recommended Oates to us so we thought we'd give them a try and we're really glad we did. Debbie in the showroom couldn't have been more helpful if she tried and we were allowed to take large samples home to see how they looked in our room. Martin came out to measure up and sent us a quote swiftly which we agreed to. Fitting was arranged for only a couple of weeks later and Ian, the fitter was a lovely fella who did an amazing job despite some challenging lines and measurements in our living room. From the instant we spoke to Debbie in the showroom, we got a really personal feel for the service being provided and that continued throughout the experience. I wholeheartedly recommend buying your flooring from Oates and forget the 'bigger' names out there.

Excellent service from sales to fitting.
All staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, After having a previous flooring fitted in our bathroom from a different company which resulted in a lot of damage, Oates flooring came to the rescue and as a result we now have a lovely, professional finished floor down.
Andy the fitter came at the time arranged, was very polite and professional and knew his trade,and cleaned up everything before he left.can't thank the company enough and would recommend to friends and family

Was recommended by our plumber to this company, nothing too much trouble at Oates. Very helpful and gave us lots of help choosing the right flooring for our kitchen and new bathroom. Very patient and professional 😊 the fitter was lovely and made a great job of laying the flooring.
