Nice shop well stocked but had a bad encounter with staff when trying to understand the "co op membership". From googling after I have understood that they are different, coop and southern coop are not the same, my mistake. I used my new Southern coop membership in this store earlier today and it seemed to accept it on the till, I then went to use a voucher which didn't work. The lady at the till was dismissive and rude, radioing her supervisor, talking about me like I wasn't there and I was stupid for not understanding something she had failed to explain probably. While I understand that they must encounter it a lot, it's confusing with the names being similar and the till seeming to accept my membership, a little bit of understanding and a polite explanation would have been better, the staff member looked like she didn't care at all and didn't want to be there. I won't be returning to this store again because of this.

A friendly little store with all the usual everyday items. Friendly staff and parking at the back. If you are tall just watch your head near the tills.

Well stocked and well presented little store. Very helpful and friendly staff. Parking for 2 blue badge holders at the front...not sure about the rear car?

Leaving and turning right can involve a lengthy wait, as the entitled drivers absolutely refuse to give way...but this is not the fault of the store.

Store and staff fine.
Parking at back very dark and felt unsafe. No lighting until you got at and walked very near building then it came on briefly. Needs to be lit all the time to make it safe.

A useful small supermarket with a good selection of fruit and veg and extensive freezer and chiller cabinets. Sells garden plants in summer, fresh flowers, newspapers and greetings cards. Off licence.

I used to use this shop a lot and never had a bad experience, however I have been in twice this week, and it has gone massively down hill.
First time It took atleast 5 minutes for the staff member on the till to put my student discount through, paid via contact less and was offered bag and receipt, I declined both and left the store. Crossed the road and started walking home, when another staff member came running out and basically dragged me back across the road in front of a car, which fortunatley stopped and then he took a step back onto the path. Turns out my card had declined and wanted the pin entered. I feel there would have been better ways to handle this than running and dragging a customer infront of a car travelling 30mph. If I had stolen items then yes fair play run out and grab the offender, however I had stood at the till for 10 minutes and believed I had paid.
The 2nd time I stood at the till for 5 minutes before having to find someone to serve me.
The car park is littered with rubbish, and the exterior walls down the side are green and filthy, maybe white wasn't the best colour to paint.
Its really a shame as this used to be a great store, but the staff need to take some pride in their store and car park and have some customer service training

Decent enough selection for everyday needs.
Parking can be a bit tight around the back.

There is a other Co-op on the other side of town on Guildford Road which I tend to find a bit more space/easier to access etc.

ATM outside is handy as well here.
