Booked a short break for me, my wife and my daughter.
First impressions were good, the place is clean and tidy and all the caravans are a good standard and quite modern.
It's just a short walk to the beach down some metal stairs and the beach is a mixture of sand and stones.
The clubhouse is quite large and has had a makeover during the last few years, entertainment was a singer called Stephanie who was fantastic and in the main hall the was the resident song and dance team who were quite good. I can't remember their name!
There's an amusement arcade which is a way to get rid of all your loose change and maybe win some more!
Some of the facilities we never used, like the shop and laundrette so I can't comment on them.
The one thing that lets the place down is the food. Most of the meals are of a poor standard but the one on our last night was disgusting. It actually made my wife sick all night long. It was a good job we were going home then and lucky we didn't eat that rubbish on the first night. It's no fun being violently sick in a caravan all night.
Service was generally good and friendly but if we go again we will definitely bring all our own food and cook it in the caravan.
Sack that chef!

Had a short midweek break here very well maintained site with great facilities with easy access to a nice beach.
However this would be a 5 star review if was not for the food in there restaurant its not cheap and what you get as far as I could tell was microwaved and dry.
Haven please look into the food situation as I see from other reviews it’s not just me.
If you got it right there would be more people using the restaurant for there entire stay and your revenues would be up.

We stayed in a 2 bed saver caravan and it exceeded our expectations, even though it was small but big enough for two of us, plus it had central heating which we didn't expect.
The site itself is very nice and there are lots of things to do on park and off park in the area also. We have already booked to go back next year.

We had a mostly positive stay for the weekend here at Hopton, the swimming pools and slide were good fun though the changing area could be better laid out, I feel. The staff are amazing here they are very friendly, polite and chatty, they make this a great Haven. The facilities are modern and clean just at times some better signage could be used as the park is quite big. Our van had a broken rad, which we only noticed the first evening, so didn't bother to mention this or move as we had already unpacked. Also some curtains were hanging off and not great but we just dealt with it.

An absolute joke. First caravan holiday as a family with our 2 year old. Booking system went down which I can understand can happen but was a nightmare to book activities. Half of the menu at the garden house restaurant was not available, the kids couldn’t have a desert of their choice, they even ran out of bottled water, the evening entertainment was such a disappointment, 2 nights on the trot including the Halloween disco there was nowhere to sit, so many people where left in this situation. We have paid to spend a holiday to enjoy yet left to have nowhere to sit for the evening. My son and niece and nephew got all dressed up for the Halloween evening and didn’t even get to get to experience the Halloween night at all. Even the dance floor was so tiny where they have cramped in soooo many tables and chairs the kids couldn’t really move, they were all squashed like sardines. We are currently standing in the main lobby as I write this review with many others standing around all dressed up as there is nowhere to go! We are trying to figure out what we can do as we are stuck. I would never ever ever ever come back here, and please do not offer me a discounted holiday to come back due to this review as I wouldn’t even come back if it was for free. I am honestly disgusted at how this place is managed. I hate to leave bad reviews but I am so angry and disappointed with this whole experience.

It is a perfect place for a long weekend with children and lots of activities to keep them busy. however I would not recommend the restaurant to there as the food was cold on 2 occasions and had to be sent back. The first time it happened we let it go as they were busy but after the second time we didn't eat there again. The caravan was good nice and clean and the beds were really comfortable

We have just returned from our second stay at Hopton. It’s a brilliant park, so clean and nicely maintained. The caravan was spotless and just beautiful!
The swimming pool is great with good changing facilities. The arcade/entertainment area is fantastic, our son loved the soft play area!
Beautiful beach on site (watch tide times)
Staff all friendly and welcoming.

The only negative from our stay which doesn’t deserve losing a star over, however was very disappointing was the breakfast we had on our departure day. We had cooked breakfasts and the sausages were well over done. The scrambled egg hadn’t been mixed well and there was an old chip from the fryer under the food, the whole thing was pretty gross unfortunately and not the cheapest!

An amazingly friendly and clean place. Very impressed with the accommodation, absolutely spotless and very roomy and comfortable. The site is really well laid-out, accessible and nicely landscaped. With direct access to the beach, this place must be buzzing in the summer. At this time of year it was relatively quiet, relaxed and cosy. The staff were lovely, efficient on the whole with good humour. The food was great 99% of the time. Only one duff meal, but in the chef's defence we did arrive just after the kitchen closed, so they were very obliging to knock us up something at all...Be aware on Sundays the kitchen closes an hour earlier than usual! The only other thing that wasn't up to scratch was the lack of a Welcome Pack, which would have been very helpful, not quite sure how we got missed out. But look forward to returning one day, would highly recommend.
