The spa was nice and relaxing. The staff throughout our stay were all pleasant and helpful. Shame the brasserie restaurant was not open in the evening. Staff said it only opens when they are busy. So that was a little unexpected as my partner and I were hoping for a nice meal there.
Yet it opened in the morning for breakfast. Which the breakfast was very good, and the service from the staff was amazing.
I have tummy issues after two major stomach surgeries, I struggle to eat and the staff were so accommodating.
Rooms were adequate and served our stay well.

Before booking, I specifically called your hotel and explained that my husband and I were traveling with my elderly nan, who suffers from Alzheimer's. I emphasized the importance of securing connecting rooms for her safety and well-being. I was assured that such rooms were available, although not advertised online, and that I should book a double room and a twin room, then call back to confirm the rooms would be connecting. I did as instructed, and even received confirmation that my booking was for connecting rooms.
This trip was particularly meaningful to my husband and me, as we had married at this hotel when it was still known as The Ramada back in 2013. We were excited to return to a place that holds such special memories for us. Unfortunately, our visit will now forever be overshadowed by the distressing events that unfolded.
Upon our arrival on the evening of February 14th, we were dismayed to find that no connecting rooms were available. Despite the fact that I had double-checked the arrangements with your staff prior to booking, we were told that the hotel was fully booked. This was both frustrating and concerning, as I had made it clear on two occasions the need for connecting rooms due to my nan’s condition. We were left with no option but to stay in separate rooms, compromising my nan’s safety.
After several hours of waiting, we were told that nothing could be done that night, and that we should return in the morning to speak with the reception manager. We were also offered two complimentary drinks as a token of apology, which we never received.
That night, I was unable to sleep, frequently checking on my nan to ensure she was safe. The following morning, the reception manager repeated that the hotel was fully booked and that no accommodations could be made. I was informed that I should have booked a Premier Room and a Twin Room, which contradicts the information I had received when I first inquired. The manager then offered a 50% refund for the inconvenience, which I reluctantly accepted as I had no other place to stay.
However, things took a turn for the worse. On the morning of February 17th, I found my nan had fallen in the bathroom. She had been lying on the floor for an extended period, which caused her severe pain and resulted in an emergency situation. My nan had to be rushed to the hospital by paramedics and later spent several days in the Countess of Chester Hospital, receiving treatment for severe pain and complications from muscle breakdown. Had we been provided with the connecting room I had specifically requested, I would have been able to hear her get up during the night and offer assistance, potentially preventing the fall.
This experience has caused my family significant distress and hardship. My nan’s injury and hospitalisation have taken a toll on her health, and it’s deeply upsetting that the safety of my elderly relative was compromised due to your hotel’s failure to fulfill its promises.

I stayed here for a one night for a training course booked at the hotel. Everything was superb, from the friendly and super helpful staff, the room was very spacious and in immaculate condition.

I had a 3 course meal, and couldn't fault anything. The pork belly main was superb! compliments to the chef!

Will hopefully be back to visit in the not to distant future! 🙂

Good size carpark and it's free to use as long as you register your number plate!
Quick check in
No information given on meal times or leisure centre 😕
My room was on the ground floor.
The room was a good size and spacious as was the shower room.
The bed was comfortable.
Wifi excellent
The shower was hot and powerful.
Location is on the outskirts of the city, not much close by as restaurants or shops.
Would stay again if in the area.

I’ve been visiting the leisure facility for the past two weeks, and I want to highlight how amazing Jessie has been. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail are exceptional. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that every visitor feels welcome and comfortable. Whether it’s offering helpful advice or simply greeting everyone with a friendly smile, Jessie creates such a positive and enjoyable atmosphere. She’s a real credit to the leisure facility, and her efforts have truly enhanced my experience. Thank you, Jessie, for making my visits so memorable!

Stay was average, room was a good size but attention to detail let things down. Soap was not topped up and was empty for all 3 nights and only 1 of the 3 nights biscuits we left in the room when the other room for a family member (same class) had new biscuits every night.
Pool and sauna/spa was a bonus
