Recently had a puncture repaired at hoole tyres which cost £30. This more expensive than repairs quotes elsewhere locally but I was happy to pay the inflated price based on reviews showing good service and care.

However following the works and cleaning of the wheel (which was covered in the wheel soap all over) I noticed extensive damage to the diamond cut finish particularly on every spoke in the centre of my previously perfect and unmarked wheel which now needs re refinishing at a cost of £200 and 3-4 days off the road based on quotes.

This is where the whole experience turned very sour. I raised the issue over email with the garage and nearly 1 week later I am yet to receive any acknowledgement of this original email complaint. I proceeded after 2-3 days of no reply to visit the garage in person to discuss. The manager was visibly defensive from the start denying all accountability and was very patronising throughout talking to me like I knew nothing about cars or the tyre replacement process. Ultimately trying to convince me that there is no possible way that the damage could be caused by any process of the garage and that it was likely my own doing. Something which is impossible given the wheel damage location and no matching bodywork damage which would also have been caused had it been damaged in real world driving.

I have since sought advice from other wheel and tyre garages who have all advised the same likely cause of the damage being the fitter using the wheel face itself as a table while applying the wheel soap to the tyre before refitting.

He later proceeded to advise me that they would in fact look into their own quotes to repair the wheel (although adamant they are not at fault) and 4 days later I am yet to hear anything on this.

Quite frankly if you take pride in your vehicle I would avoid hoole tyres at all costs to save yourself the upset of damage to your vehicle and the hassle and frustration that follows.

I will certainly never be taking any of the vehicles I own personally or in the family.

Update: Just for clarity I have never been offered a repair or a resolution. Your garage manager said he would obtain repair quotes and get back to me to which I am still awaiting a response so your claim of same day repair being offered is categorically false

Recently had an issue with my exhaust, they saw and fixed straight away with no charge due to it being a quick job!!! Most garages would still have charged!! Lovely, helpful receptionist too 😊 would highly recommend!! Excellent service!!

I had a collapsed wheel bracket and I needed new rear breaks and the garage fixed it at a great price of around £300, very cheaper than any other garage you will go too. Great customer service, also has a warranty if anything goes wrong with their work and will do it for free. Highly recommend.

Trustworthy, and timely service. Had my exhaust fitted here and the final cost was actually less than the estimate. On another occasion, they also helped me fix a problem fitting me in the day after I called and didn't charge me for the small repair. Highly recommend them.
