Just got back from a weekend away with our granddaughters. Could not have asked for a better place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. The food is lovely and a very good variation. It exceeded expectations and we will definitely be going again.

Nice hotel and good location for Chester City. The room was very nice and the bathroom was new so very clean. The beds were comfy and there was adequate tea and coffee facilities. |Good breakfast and choice of food. Only criticism was there was not enough tables for the demand of guests at the time but the manager did confirm they are extending dining room which was evident as there was the start of the extension. |The manager that checked us in was polite and friendly letting us check in early.|We had taxis to and from Chester which were cheap and arrived within 5 minutes of ordering them. |We would definitely stay again if we were in Chester.

We booked 2 rooms for a family weekend away seeing family that live in Chester. For the value this is amazing and far superior than the budget hotel brands that to be fair aren’t budget anymore. Oth rooms were well appointed and spotlessly clean. There were nice touches like a chocolate on the pillow and ample tea making etc and eve better 2 packs of biscuits.
The beds were amazingly comfortable but the room was a little hot so we slept with the window open.
The owner was available on site and was welcoming and friendly.
Breakfast was really good but the dining room was small so you may have to wait during busy times but they are extending the dining room that will negate this.
You can call a taxi from reception and the taxis are really good and about £7 into Chester. There are ample pubs close by if you want to stay local but we went into Chester.
We will definitely be back !!

Lovely stay at Chester House,staff pleasant and helpful. The room was lovely and clean and very tastefully decorated and very good quality furniture and soft furnishings, if I could suggest one thing it would be for some coat hooks in the outer vestibule in the courtyard rooms. Breakfast was excellent, fabulous choice. Will definitely visit again

A very welcoming and comfortable place to stay. The first Hotel / guest house where we've stayed and you do not hear the plumbing or conversations from the adjacent / above rooms. Plenty of parking and only a 15 minute or so walk in to the city centre. Good local restaurants and pubs at which to eat. An excellent and varied choice at breakfast. Ray and his staff ensure a very pleasant stay. We will certainly stay again when visiting Chester!

The building is beautiful and very well cared for. Our bedroom was big with a large bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. The proximity to good restaurants and Chester is very good. |The down side was being told where to sit in the dining room, it should have been free choice as it was never full.|Lighting in the bedroom could also be improved with a desk lamp and standard lamp.

Beautiful room with everything we could wish for, tv, fridge, microwave and tea and coffee and the bathroom was lovely. The bed was so comfortable and we had a good nights sleep, something we don't normally have in a strange bed! Breakfast was so good and not to mention all of the staff who were so friendly.

Had a fantastic couple of nights here and the room was absolutely superb, the front of house team were great and gave us some nice recommendations. The breakfast was served in the dining room next door in one of the owners other properties and it was superb, more than set us up for the day. Will definitely be back when I'm next in the area.
I would highly recommend it to all.
