Just okay really. It’s definitely nice to have more offerings like this in Hoole and perhaps in summertime it will be quite nice to sit outside in their courtyard for a coffee but I wouldn’t rush back. I felt like for the price portions were on the smaller side and sides were charged at quite the mark up (£4 for 2 rashers of bacon). It would have been nice to have chorizo on the menu to complement the Turkish eggs. Caesar salad wrap a big let down

Easily found a table on a Saturday lunch time, the customer service was great and the food absolutely lovely (we had the pastrami, emmental and sweet mustard bagel, goats cheese and caramelised red onion toasted sandwich and poached eggs on toast each with a drink which came to £35, I do wish the bagel had come with a small salad like the toastie did)
The shop, cafe and garden are all fully accessible (including wheel chairs and prams). Indoor and outfoor seating areas, Reasonable prices. Nice ambiance. Will definitely come again.

I am visiting from the USA and had to have a sausage roll while in the UK. It was one of the best I have ever had. The sausage was well seasoned with a hint of cumin. The pastry crisp and delicious. Of course the chips were delicious and well cooked. The salad was a good surprise.
I was so impressed with the decor
Plane white walls with just the right amount of art work.
The server was polite and very accommodating. I would definitely go back

We had such a wonderful meal at Okells. It was a cold day, and with no power at home due to the storm, I chose the sausage roll to warm me up. What a result! This is without doubt the best sausage roll I’ve ever had - light and crispy pastry with proper sized and flavourful filling - worthy of a handshake!
I love the what they have done with the place too. As a local to Hoole, I’ve watched it transform from the old Co-op building into the beautiful place it is today, and that should be applauded.
It won't be long before I'm back 🙂

Caesar Salad was really nice. Coffee decent. Victoria Sponge amazing! Staff are incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is lively. Will definitely return!

Really nice visit to Okells today, first time in the Hoole shop and cafe. It’s a gem for Hoole and Chester residents to have on their doorsteps. Good menu, plenty of choice, friendly staff and great for gifts and plants too. Great that it’s dog-friendly with some well behaved dogs in today.

Nice little place with a cosy busy atmosphere, disappointed with the portion size to cost ratio, 1 small piece of sourdough, avo, 2 little pices of crispy bacon, for 10 pounds, on a medium plate that the good still seemed extremely large for the food served. Coffee's were nice & tasty, but again cup size was small.
Nothing wrong with the quality/service/taste etc
