My friends and I really enjoyed the beginners jewellery class. We all came away feeling relaxed and so happy with what we made. Jonathan is a brilliant teacher and his studio has everything you could need. You spend the morning learning skills using copper, then after some delicious home made cake and tea you get going on your pieces. I absolutely love my new jewellery. I’d highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn a new skill or just looking for something a bit different to do. Thank you so much Jonathan!

I booked a surprise spinner ring class for my mum and sister for Christmas. Booking was easy and Jonathan very kindly made some ‘vouchers’ that I could give to them on Christmas Day, which was a lovely thought.

The class itself did not disappoint. Each stage was explained carefully and demonstrated and we were able to practice each skill before creating our final piece. Jonathan was the perfect host throughout the experience and I would highly recommend his classes. We already cannot wait to return for one of his longer course. 10 out of 10 experience!!

I attended a 8 week evening class course - I cannot thank Jonathan enough for a fantastic 8 weeks, I started as a complete beginner with no real jewellery making skills at all.

Lovely class. Spent 4 hours initially practicing some basic skills with copper before moving on to creating silver items to take home. Jonathan was very knowledgable and helpful of suggestions as to what could be created in the class and how that might be achieved. I would thoroughly recommend the class.

This was a great day! Johnathan is a calm and thorough instructor introducing us to the basics of soldering and jewellery making in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The day sped by as we concentrated on our creations in the cosy workshop brimming with every tool imaginable. We did sneak in a tea break sampling our host’s homemade Victoria sponge (baking being another of Jonathan’s talents!) and time later for a sandwich.
I fulfilled my wish to learn some basic soldering skills and I made a copper key ring and some pretty silver and copper stacking rings! I highly recommend the day.

spent the very best of days at one of Johnathan's beginners days last weekend.
He is a talented, skilled and patient teacher who timed the day brilliantly. A morning of basic skills and practice in copper sheet and wire, before an afternoon of creating something in silver.
The day just flew and I will happily book more of these hours.

Had a great morning at Salt Way Silver on a beginners workshop. We learnt lots of techniques which we practised on copper before making our chosen item out of silver. Jonathan clearly demonstrated each stage and offered help and advice throughout the session. He was a great tutor and an excellent cake maker!!
There was a choice of the items you could make and we made lovely silver rings. I would definitely like to do another session.

We loved this jewellery making class. It was a birthday gift which gave a great experience as well as something personal to take home afterwards. We spent a couple of hours learning lots of techniques with copper, then we designed and made our own pieces. Jonathan was a great teacher - calm, patient and very knowledgeable. And the cake was delicious. Highly recommended!
