It seems that most free to enter museums are amongst the most interesting. a bit small and cluttered but really interesting museum, the undercroft cells still look spooky. there's two floors to it , you could do it in 15 minutes or spend an hour looking at detail...worth a look...especially as the rest of Evesham appears to be on it's backside! N.B. Parking in Evesham now almost impossible!

Excellent visit to the Almonry museum in Evesham with a first class guided tour from Alex. So many fascinating artefacts from the history of the local area, archaeology, geology and social history. The man trap was quite gruesome! Alex gave us a fab historical explanation of the battle of Evesham and the demise of Simon De Montfort that was worthy of a round of applause. Oh and we enjoyed trying on the armour!

Absolutely great hour or so spent at this lovely place. Free entry then given the option to purchase a little crafts activity for £1 which we chose to do and completed in the main hall at the end. Also did a treasure hunt on the way around which was fun. There was a talk provided by one of staff (think his name was Alex) about knights and weaponry, which was highly informative where the kids (and big kids) could try on the armour! Very well kept place with some nice exhibits. Left a donation at the end, as it being free entry for such great service didnt feel quite right! Recommend to anyone.

My wife and I travelled some distance to visit here today, and it was well worth it. A free entry museum in a very old building. What an amazing building it is, too, having been a part of a huge priory when first constructed. Loved the giant fireplace, the flagstone floors and the wood panelled room on the first floor. Knowledgeable staff and a little shop. We had to visit now because it is closing soon for two to three years, for much needed refurbishment. It will be interesting to see what it looks like after and what secrets they uncover.

The building is not wheelchair friendly.

Such a lot to see, so many different sorts of things, Old carvings from the Abbey, strange tools for basket weaving, a huge mill, a fairground horse, a door from the jail. A beautiful garden with many little treasures fitted around. Nice shop. Uneven floors, stairs to higher floor.

Great place to find out about Evesham. Super helpful and friendly lady. Loads of leaflets and maps. Some gorgeous local Christmas cards, which I purchased. Also a lot of local related merchandise. I will be going back.

Well worth an hour or so looking around this museum. Winding stair cases, uneven floors and low ceilings everywhere make it a joy to explore. Exhibits from the age of the Plesiosaur though to the town in WWII.
