If you enjoy a hearty breakfast whilst admiring a great view, Brosters is a good place to go. It was a very grey day when we visited but we were lucky to get a table by the window and the view was still lovely.
There was a good choice on the breakfast menu and prices were very reasonable. We opted for a sausage and bacon sandwich with extra black pudding and eggs benedict. Both were very good and generous portions. The lunch menu also sounds very good, so we will definitely be returning soon.
The farm shop is next to the cafe and has a great selection of products, generally a bit cheaper than a lot of the bigger farm shops, so also worth a browse around.

Absolutely love this place. Could sit in the cafe on a nice sunny day looking out at the view an endless amount of time. The sandwiches are top tier. No stingy portions and the staff are more than happy to be accommodating if like me you are a slightly picky eater. I am always kindly given a doggy bag as I rarely make it through my whole sandwich but I enjoy the treat of having more later in the day at home. The shop is also great. Butchers in particular are top tier and the staff are really lovely and eager to help and advise with choices. I am very excited about stocking my fridge up from the shop this coming Christmas! Will make for a gorgeous roast!

Lovely little farm shop and cafe. Plenty of choice, good butcher's and reasonable selection of veg. Two banks of freezers, which were well stocked. The small cafe on the side was nice. Had a steak Ciabatta, with chips and side salad, along with a coffee. All reasonably priced.

If you want a hearty, hot bowl of soup for a Winter’s day lunch, don’t order it here. Mine came served in a tea cup (coffee cup at best) and was lukewarm.
The waitress didn’t check if our food was ok, which I guess in a small place is fine (it was definitely a quiet spell) so it wasn’t sent back. We didn’t order any desserts or more hot drinks as we felt dissatisfied. Could definitely have been better.
Such a shame.
The farm shop is brilliant, with gorgeous pies well stocked fridges and freezers.

I recently visited the farm shop café for the first time and, while the exterior was charming and inviting, the service left much to be desired. Upon arriving, we were seated quickly, which initially seemed promising. However, things took a turn when we were left waiting for 15 minutes without any attention from the staff.

When the waitress finally returned, instead of taking our order, she asked us to move to a different table. We politely declined, and after some back and forth, she eventually said it was fine for us to stay where we were. However, during this period, we noticed that a table next to us, who had just walked in, was being attended to and served immediately, which felt frustrating given that we had been waiting for quite some time.

This inconsistency in service was disappointing, and after being ignored for so long, we decided not to order and ended up leaving without even trying the food. Unfortunately, I can’t comment on the quality of the food as we never had the opportunity to experience it, but the lack of attention and poor service was enough to leave a negative impression.

Overall, while the setting is lovely, the service we experienced was far below expectations. I hope this was just a one-off, but based on this visit, I wouldn’t recommend it to others. Improvements in customer service and attention to detail are definitely needed.
